The Panel was not able to reach a definitive conclusion as to the authenticity of the Killian documents.
And remember that:
Killian’s former wife, son and secretary all questioned the validity of the memos, though his secretary said they did reflect his views at the time about Bush.
I think “fake but accurate” IS the most humorous thing I’ve seen in ages, actually. Look! I just discovered an entry from FDR’s blog where he admitted he knew about Pearl Harbor in advance! It’s “fake but accurate!”
I think you guys are just playing dumb. The same secretary that said memorandums were not authentic, was saying that the facts being reported were. You’re accepting the first part, and ignoring the second. Now, that’s funny!
Say goodbye to your posting ability here, Ghost. Your comments won’t make it out of the que again. You insult people here and this is your reward. Are you laughing now?
I can understand those Liberals who believe what they do because they’re gullible, or don’t have all the facts. In fact, I love giving them the facts so they can finally figure things out for themselves. But I just cannot understand those Liberals who deliberately ignore or even pervert facts in order to suit their ideology.
Hiya Cav – saw your article posted over at Right Wing News earlier this a.m. Congrats. I think your blog is one of the most underrated in the blogosphere and it’s good to see your work get the recognition it deserves
Thanks, Sis; I really appreciate that. Did you see the lame attempted fisking of it at Daily Kos? Between that and all the hate mail I got over it, I know I hit the nail on the head that time.
I added an update to that blog entry with the link. Not many posts get linked from both RightWingNews and Daily Kos in the same day; I dont know if that’s a good or bad thing…
See Paragraph F of the Panel’s report:
F. Authenticity of the Killian Documents
The Panel was not able to reach a definitive conclusion as to the authenticity of the Killian documents.
And remember that:
Killian’s former wife, son and secretary all questioned the validity of the memos, though his secretary said they did reflect his views at the time about Bush.
Uh huh. “It was true even though those documents used to prove it were fake.”
Doesn’t work that way, Ghost.
BTW, this was meant as a humorous post – let’s keep the serious talk in the other CBS report post I’ve got going here, ok?
I think “fake but accurate” IS the most humorous thing I’ve seen in ages, actually. Look! I just discovered an entry from FDR’s blog where he admitted he knew about Pearl Harbor in advance! It’s “fake but accurate!”
*G* Did he predict a social security crisis, too, by chance?

LOL! No, I didn’t see the attempted fisking but I’ll have to check that out … shall I say “congrats” for that, too?

Keep ‘em on their toes, Cav!
