Welcome, ST newbies

Just wanted to take a moment to say hello to any newbies who have stumbled on to the ST blog from other sites.   I hope you like what you see here and will bookmark/blogroll this blog and return often.  Make sure to tell your friends, too :)

There used to be a time when I could keep up with the new people who posted here in the comments section but there are so many new people now, that it’s hard for me to keep up like I used to.  So if you’re new here and I haven’t personally said "hello" to you now and apologize for not being able to say hi to everyone individually here.  I enjoy participating in the comments section but things have picked up around here a bit and I’m not getting as much of a chance as I used to … but I do still participate as I love debating and talking to everyone here when I can.

Would also like to say a big thanks to those of you who have made this a regular stop on your blog reading menu.  I sincerely appreciate the fact that you find what I have to say worth reading and sometimes commenting on.  I’m just an average southern gal in North Carolina with an opinion and it humbles me that there are people out there who want to read it.  So from me to you once again: thank you.

Now, with that said, it’s time for me to hit the pillow.  After spending three hours this evening searching high and low for the one lone W2 copy that I need to send to the mortgage broker who is processing my paperwork and not being able to find it (even though I’ve got every *other* tax return/W2 going back 10 years!) I am wiped out.  They really WERE right when they said that the process of buying a home can be exhausting! But no doubt, it will be worth it in the end.

In the meantime this evening, please remember in your thoughts and prayers our friends down in the Gulf Coast area who were hard hit today by Hurricane Katrina.   The AP is reporting [1] that at least 55 are dead in the aftermath of the storm.
