Rice Urges Israel to Cooperate with Terrorists. If the administration keeps this up, I think God might create a category six hurricane!

Bach: I want to read that book. Thanks for letting us know it's out in paperback now. I'll swing by Books A Million later this week to pick up a copy.

Seth: That last part you wrote is very scary but unfortunately true. People in this country are too PC to say certain things regarding the promotion of "Ahmed" and others like an Ahmed to high positions in the airlines.

There have to be others, I actually should have completed what I started. In order for these people to take the real pilot out of the equation ahead of time, they would have to have someone on the team with timely access to information on which pilot is scheduled for that flight, where he is going to be staying prior to flying(where he lives or, if he's not in his home city, which hotel his airline uses to house employees), what he looks like, etc.
If they didn't expect to be able to obtain this intel, why should Mahmoud even bother preparing his imposter scenario? Either the bad guys have a good hacker who can obtain airline and FAA files(w/ photos and descriptions), including personnel/license files, or they have someone inside the target flight's airline and/or the FAA. Either way, if I were the Bureau agent in charge of the investigation, I would focus on those two possibilities and for the former, I'd have a battalion of computer weenies descend in a big hurry and do their thing to try to find a hacker(IT security isn't my area), and I'd have a team of agents go through the records of/rescreen/ interview everyone with any access to the kind of information I mentioned above(physical security IS my area), and racial profiling would be the order of the day. One advantage, at least, would be that planning on Mahmoud's scale would mean that they could- hopefully- pinpoint the airline in question by the pilot's uniform.
In the past 2 weeks I've passed through SFO, O'Hare(twice), Baltimore-Washington, Reagan National, Orlando and Dulles, and I've seen a whole lot of employees of all kinds from Middle Eastern countries. Employees get promoted to positions of trust, Achmed might be a great entry level employee, then a great supervisor and next thing you know it, he's promoted to corporate, and his chances might even be better than those of the average gringo as the corporate mentality seems to be to appease the ACLU and its minions by "trusting" the people we should instead beware of. This whole situation slips right by most Americans' attention as it's not exactly MSM headline material. In truth, we have the same sort of Islamic saturation occuring here in the U.S. that they do in the Euro countries we all cite for that same thing, only here it's "politically incorrect" for anyone to point that out.

Sloan - retired General Tommy Franks' book, American Soldier, thoroughly destroys the claim Kerry & Co. and the rest of the libs made/make that bin Laden escaped because of military incompetence and political decisions. The book is out in paper now, at a reasonable price, so read it and you'll know exactly how to shut up any reasonable critic. The problem I think you'll find is that leftist critics are not reasonable, so the onslaught will continue even if Jesus came back tomorrow and refuted the claims on See BS.

Sloan, that's a good question on the list of terrorists caught... I don't know where one can be found, although I think early on the FBI was keeping a running list.

Seth, a big question for me is: are there others??

Maawad was definitely being thorough, you can say that for him, by making himself conversant with topics he might have to draw upon in conversation with pilots or other folks he might encounter at an airport.
Being a security professional, the first thing that pops into my mind is that Mahmoud's plans would have to include displacing the pilot originally assigned to fly the target aircraft ahead of time so they wouldn't show up simultaneously aboard the plane; given the murder-modus of Islamic terrorists and the fact that they would intend to murder everybody aboard the target aircraft anyway, I somehow doubt that rendering the pilot unconscious or holding him/her alive someplace would figure into that scenario.
I'm glad they're not letting that shmuck walk away on bond.

The other day I got into an online argument with a guy who was taking the President to task for having not found Osama bin Laden yet. Of course this is a common bleat we hear from the Left, and of course it completely ignores all the progress that HAS been made in pretty much decimating the high-ranking leadership of the organization and many of the loyal jihadis. But it got me to thinking about all the terrorist suspects that have been rounded up worldwide, and especially right here in the U.S. Is anyone keeping a tally? I would love to be able to show that to people and say, "This is one reason there hasn't been another terrorist attack on American soil since 9/11."

What An Idiot

But I believe any terrorists who attempt to take over a plane after 9/11 is in for a surprise. They will quite literally be torn to shred's. No one in their right mind would believe that a terrorist is taking over a plane to free "freedom fighters" ...
