If you have such an issue with Blair's comments, perhaps you should take them up with him. I asserted the BBC's comments were anti-Bush, not anti-American.

"No, it would make them seem a little less anti-Bush and a lot more balanced."

But still blaming americans right? Bush isn't the only american here. So Blair would still be correct.

"Bottom line is that there, just like here in the US, coverage throughout this tragedy was singularly focused on one thing: trashing the President and ignoring (until way after the fact) the story of the local and state incompetency on the pre- and post-response to Hurricane Katrina."

But if they trashed the local and state people, wouldn't that still be BBC being 'anti-american' ?

Ohhh.....well, I like BBC America, but if they don't get Doctor Who on stat, there will be some consequences.

I have considered before launching a national movement to have BBC-America removed from the Direct TV list.

I assume it is available on cable as well?

It's too bad that it had to be Murdoch who came out with this. I love the guy, seriously, but he holds as much authority to the left as Paul Krugman does to the right. The very fact that the words came out of his mouth is enough to make the left dismiss them. on other, less enlightened websites I saw such witty, pithy insights as "Well, the Sun isn't a real newspaper!" Which, you know, has absolutely nothing to do with anything on the planet.

The irony is that one of the left's biggest arguments is "the world hates us," but when it's pointed out that the BBC is hating us, we're told we're seeing things that aren't there. Man. You can't keep track without a scorecard thee days.
