… while in DC this week. As reported in the Village Voice:
Tomorrow Sheehan and the other members of the tour will start knocking on the doors of Congress. Sheehan has meetings scheduled with Representatives Marilyn Musgrave, Dave Reichert, Jeb Bradley, and Henry Waxman and with Senators John McCain, Hillary Clinton, and Edward Kennedy. She also hopes to meet with Senators Bill Frist and Elizabeth Dole, though organizers say Frist and Dole have repeatedly refused requests for a meeting.
No surprises on that list, eh? Why give this woman any face time at all? Unless those doing so want to lend some credibility to her and her ‘movement.’
In the meantime, if you are interested in joining some of the counter-Sheehan protests that will be going on this weekend in DC, click here for more info.

Sheehan metting with McCain? I’ll bet money that RINO will offer her some encouragement, trying like his hero Billy Jeff to play both sides of every issue, oh I’m sorry, they call it triangulation don’t they?
McCain will never get the nomination of the Republican Party!
I need a list of Umnumzana’s favorite blogs. He/She/It always say’s what I’m thinking.
McCain’s only saving grace to me was his fiscal conservancy. He has offered no proof of even this lately, except for his rhetoric. I think he is a FCISO (Fiscally conservative in speaches only). I’m not sure of who I want to run for prez, but I know it’s not him.
I bet the FCISO acronym never catches on
Umnumzana: I’m thinking there is going to be a big push in the media for McCain to run in ’08 … just a gut feeling. They’ll start throwing ideas around about how the Republicans can “win back support” by having someone like McCain as the nominee … LOL.
Kevin: FCISO? Good one – a lot more than McCain would fall under that, unfortunately
