At least they’re going to clinics to benefit from anonymous donors. Imagine how it feels when a man has a child the natural way and then finds out the mother is this kind of woman, determined to disappear from his life completely with the child.

I’m still reeling at the implications of this for where our society has already gone. In a sense it’s just a return to the days when children of wealthy parents were taken care of by proxies (governesses, nannies, etc.) and then shipped off to boarding schools. But in another sense, it’s a lot like Aldous Huxley’s ‘Brave New World’: bright and shiny and loveless.

I don’t want to sound…well…there’s no way to not sound bad here…Let’s assume it’s a married couple that doesn’t have the desire to have sex…(which is alien to me). What the hell kind of famiy is that to bring a child into. Now, let’s assume they don’t have TIME for sex. They don’t have TIME? For sex? And they want a KID? If you don’t have time for a half hour a couple times a week (and here’s where I could say something snarky that would probably get Sister to ban me from her site)…if you don’t have time for that, news flash, you do NOT have time for a kid. Full disclosure, I ended a relationship with a woman I loved very much, and we were together for nearly five years, because I didn’t want kids and she did. And that was a deal breaker. But I was NOT going to bring a child into the world unless I was 100% committed to everything it would take to raise a child. These people lack any sense of responsiblity, common sense, and long term planning. My God, those kids are in such trouble.
