Advice re: audio recording

I posted the following back on Sept. 22:

FYI, yours truly will be interviewed on 97.1 FM KFTK’s Allman and Smash in Morning talk radio show on Tuesday October the 11th at 8:10 AM CT. The show is based in St. Louis, Mo. – if you’re out of listening range but would like to hear it, go here to download their streaming audio player and you’ll be able to hear their show live.

Was just curious if anyone out there had any advice on how I can go about recording the show?  I want to make sure a copy of it gets posted here for anyone who may not get a chance to listen to it.  Any suggestions, please email me (email addy listed below my pic on the top left of the page) or post in the comment section.

You could do what I did — ask the show’s producer for a recording of the segment. That’s how I got the .MP3. I can’t wait to hear it!

you could use replay radio if there is an online stream. It is an excellent program, but it costs money :( and you have to make sure and try it first. Some soundcards don’t record as well as others (some not at all!).

I will attempt to record it for you, but by no means count on it. I’m still without power after Rita, so if my generator drops out i’ll have nothing for you, and it is likey it will. There is a demo of the program and I think you can use it for free for a few weeks.

Correction. I will not be recording it. My copy of Replay Radio isn’t working :(

CavalierX is right, ST. Ask the producer for a dub of your segment. Any talk shows I’ve been associated with make a recording of the show, includin the commercials.

Now, Air America may not want evidence of what they said laying around. Stewart Smalley may not want his words biting him during his Senate campaign.

  5. Thanks for the advice, ya’ll! Kevin – no prob, I appreciate the offer anyway :)
