On the Sox-Cubbies dual loyalty, I doubt it. Sox and Cubbies are two very different baseball traditions. The Sox may have finally lived down Bill Veeck, though.

In fact I have not been a fan of football since the 1993 strike. Not that I am holding a grudge or anything like that, in fact I agreed with the players, they had some very valid points. I just can't bring myself to "love" the game anymore, even in college football the almighty dollar has become to important. Of course that was about the time I changed to being an "Independant" from being a die hard Union Democrat, raised in a UAW household, thought my Dad was a traitor for voting for Ronald Reagan. LOL Ohhh silly me. I know you weren't looking for a long disortation, but there you have it. I am presently between teams, but since I live in the Midwest, GO CHI SOX!!! I remember a few seasons ago (I think it was 3?) where we had a horrible record but it wasn't because we were that bad a team, it's just that we sort of slacked off in the 4th qtr of games and other teams came back to win.
