Ann Althouse has some great photos of fall foliage in Devil’s Lake State Park in WI.
More here.
I’m on a mission to take some photos of the emerging fall foliage here this week. Our weather here has been mostly warm, so the fall foliage has taken a bit longer to come out. But it’s there.
Update: The link to Althouse’s post about this no longer works, but the flickr.com link is working.

I don’t have a digital camera otherwise I’d share some of the changeing foliage in out tri-state area (IL-WI-IA).
Hey PCD!! I love the view from Eagle Point Park in Dubuque. I found a pretty nice photo of it here at this website.
My Dad was born and raised in the Harper’s Ferry area. Spent alot of time there as a Youngin’. My Brother lives in the house my Dad was raised in. It is a nice area. Use to walk the bluffs that over look the Mississippi river. It was beautiful. We would run across old Indian burial sites that had been looted may years before, and just admire the places and the views. Ohhh had some pretty good times there as a kid. Always – Lorica
Lorica, I only live a few miles from Eagle Point park. We’ve got a bit of litigation going on because a developer bought the restaurant at the foot of the Eagle Point Park bluffs, demolished it, and was going to put up a condo. Opposition group is led by a woman who has her mansion on the bluffs. Hypocrite!
I’m originally from Green Bay. Was up by my mother’s family in Forest County 2 weekends ago for my birthday. The leaves were turning then. The deer were also running actoss the highways and I almost hit a herd of does crossing the highway the Sunday moring the Pack creamed the Saints.
Awesome!!!! Go Packers!!!
I do love it there. Hey where did my link go!!! Let’s try it again. This photographer says alot of these pics are from the Dubuque area.

PCD, if you ever get a chance to take some 35MM photos of that area, I’d love to see them
Lorica, the photos are beautiful! Thanks for posting that link.
Sister, the local rag does put up local pix at LINK.
I’ll see what I can find for photos. Ex took all the furnishings and cameras in the divorce.
Why thank you very much Miss Sista!!!
That area of Iowa is very pretty. So much of Iowa is flat rolling hill farm land. This area is really is beautiful. Here is a very another cool website.

I loved this national park the few times I was able to go.
PCD and Lorica, thanks to you both for the links – PCD, I couldn’t find the fall foliage pix at the link you posted, but I did find some other cute photos underneath the “photo dept.” link. Lorica, that national park is absolutely gorgeous!
Sister,
The rag keeps changing the pix. They do like to show good pix from local photographers. That seems to be the one unbiased, nonpolitical part of that rag.
As Eeyore says, “Thank you for noticing.”
