"I cried because I was under the threat of arrest. I cried because I am emotionally effected by the terrible, obscene, and violent behavior of The United States Government. Your cynical, judgemental and occasionally cruel comments speak of your own inhumanity. Your lack of compassion and intelligence gives me better insight as to why this country perpetuates ignorant policies which comfort the rich and destroy the lives of the other 6 billion of us. Remember, we're all in the same boat. We were all born from our mothers wombs and nursed at her bosom. Perspective is crucial. Think about it. Then let's discuss decency and it's relevance in today's society."

Spare me the lecture on decency. What's truly indecent - and what you should really be "crying" about - is your shameless attempt at drawing attention to your "cause" by attempting to relieve the Vietnam war protest days with your "topless demonstration." Just what point did you intend to get across with that? Do you think people who saw you standing their without a top on were thinking "dang, she's right: the war IS wrong!"? I don't think so. It is people like you and those you 'marched' with, Sherry, that are embarassments to this country. The real heroes in this country are those who put their lives on the line so you can exercise your freedom to say how much you can't stand the mission they are fighting (while yet still claiming somehow that you "support the troops"). You have a first amendment right to state your opinion - you are not, however, guaranteed the right to be heard. Flashing the public is a surefire way to garner attention, but I assure you it's not the kind of attention you want.

Happy Thanksgiving.
Yes, It is I, Sherry Glaser. It seems that Breasts Not bombs have caused quite a stir in your otherwise mundane, prehaps dreary existence. We had the audacity to exercise our 1st amendment rights at a time when so many sit by and let the atrocities of our government go by with a yawn and a wave. What you saw was a powerful demonstration of freedom.(Or the attempt to demonstrate it)It certainly got your attention and you are talking about it. Dialogue is very very healthy!
Yes, I cried at the rally. I cried at the rally because we had just been through the death of a family member. I cried because I was under the threat of arrest. I cried because I am emotionally effected by the terrible, obscene, and violent behavior of The United States Government. Your cynical, judgemental and occasionally cruel comments speak of your own inhumanity. P.S. We were released in time for us to get back home for my daughter's report. We should have been cited and released on these misdemeanors. At this point it doesn't look like the D.A. will even be filing any charges. The plot thickens. Stay tuned.

Vonnie,

Maybe if the CHiPs had said, "Lady, you strip and not only will we arrest you, we will notify DCS and your children will be wards of the state since you are obviously too mentally impared to care for them properly.", Glaser would have just stuck to using her mouth.

What I find incredible is the lack of responsibility these women take for their actions. What don't we understand about the concept of Karma? In the SF Chronicle article of 11/8/05 by Greg Lucas, "Glaser said she didn't want to be arrested and started to cry as she talked about her children and the school report she was supposed to help one of them with later in the day. Then she removed her black top, and several CHP officers moved in to arrest her" even after they promised to do so if she removed her clothing.

How pathetic! She claims to be a victim, yet she removed her top knowing the consequences. The poor victim was arrested which prevented her from being with her children and helping with the school project! Glaser isn't taking responsibility for her children (she should have been at home for them) or herself, and have made all of them victims of the State and the CHP.

It is no surprise that she would want everyone to vote "No" on CA proposition 73 which (if it had passed) would have required parental notification of the termination of a minor's pregnancy. Why take on parental responsibility when you can make the State take it on?

SELF-SERVING NUDITY AS POLITICAL PROTEST

The name of the group is "Breasts Not Bombs".

Guys, I've seen the pictures. It's hard to tell the difference.

(In fact, I thought I saw the regional manager of Hooters run away stumbling. Mumbling something about "I would hire a MAN first").

Hundreds of years ago, Aristophanes (in Lysistrata) wrote about Greek womens' plans to end the Peloponnesian War by refusing to have sex with their husbands until they stopped fighting, so this is just a poor, cheap copycat version. It is more like the late Sen. Moynihan's comment about some of Clinton's statements: "...boob bait for the bubbas."

- Sistah, sorry.... After years of watching the kinds of birkenstock clad "womyn" that infest these mob scenes, I wouldn't walk across the street to glance at the best of them. There are just some things so obnoxious, I won't do them even for the GOP..... *chuckle*

Doc, may be something to this. Remember the Islamofascists are hoping to die in their Jihad to get 72 Virgins from Allah. These poor bums probably can't even buy it, and then are so bad that they have to have 72 inexperienced women who don't know how lousy in bed the Islamofascists are.

Looks like the start of a 'piece' movement. I think that it was Jerry Pournelle who once wrote a short funny story about how some women stopped all wars by offering themselves to anybody at any time.

These boobs were in DC with Cindy Sheehan. Evidently they didn't get enough exposure in DC.

I really question the sanity of these women. In a previous article, one of these boobs takes her 12 year old daughter along and makes her run around topless as well. Where are the child welfare people? Or are they like the one up in Storm Lake, Iowa, who ignores the public calling to report such things until the child is dead, then the social worker complains about being over worked.
