/sigh Sadly during that time of my life I was going thru my GM phase. I missed all of the cool cars Ford was making in the mid to late 80s. I loved the 85 Convertible Mustang. I think I have a thing for Mustangs or horses in general. – Lorica

My daughter drives an 88 T-bird, not a Turbocoupe. I did have a 90 Super Coupe, but the poor thing was beyond restoration without generous Heinz-Kerry ammounts of cash or being the subject of an OverHaulin’ episode.

PCD that would be a fun car to modify. I loved the 80s Superbird or Turbo Coupe. I love the look of the new Mustangs OMG they are soooo Hot. I want one bad.

You know J-Dog, that is sad, considering that is one thing that Van Morrison hates. I have a friend that was stationed in Holland in the early 70’s and someone took him to a drug den in an old Nazi sub nest. He tells me that when he was there he met Van Morrison. Got to talk to him for quite some time. That would of been pretty cool. – Lorica

J-Dog tried to get Van Morrison tix in Colorado a few months back. The only place to get them was through brokers and they were $750 each for ok seats. J-Dog is in favor of free markets, but yikes!

What a car. No one thought of keeping such cars on the road like they do now. I’m dreaming of that car with a race frame underneath it.

I’m hoping to “rod” my 97 T-bird. She don’t like the Iowa winters though.

Noooo that wasn’t me. As a youth living in Davenport going to that concert, I drove a 1966 Ford Galixie 500 4 door. It was powder blue and I bought it from my neighbor’s Dad. He bought it new in 66 drove it for 2 years back and forth to work then retired and bought himself a new car. He gave this one to his wife who didn’t like to drive so she used it as a grocery getter. When I bought it is had 55,000 miles and it was 15 years old. Still had the original factory snow tires in the trunk, which I used during the cold, snowy Iowa winters. It was a wonderful car, and lasted me over 6 years until the frame started to rust thru pretty badly. /sigh Sent the old girl to the bone yard. The man I bought it from even stopped by to say good bye for it. LOL Even tried to offer me some of my money back since I only got 6 years of use. He was a wonderful man. – Lorica

Man I love Kansas. Especially when Kerry Livgren was writing there music. Something about “Dust in the Wind”.

Well PCD, that Concert was in 1979. I don’t think I went to another non-Christian Concert after that either.

The only concert I really want to see these days is Iona. They cancelled a few years ago cause Joanne was expecting and having problems with the pregnancy. They like to got to the Cornerstone festival, which really is a huge mud fest. Infact a few years ago some of the boys in the youth group at church parked badly and the Lincoln Mark 5 slid into the lake there. There Dad was Stroked.

I want to see REO Speedwagon, J. Geils, Outlaws and Sammy Hagar for 20.00. It was an outdoor concert on Credit Island in Davenport, IA.

The last concert I went to was Bon Jovi and Skid Row in Omaha better than 10 years ago. I’d never pay money for a concert by anti-American liberals like the Dixie Chicks again.

Things sure have changed, haven’t they?

Back in the days when I used to go to a ton of concerts(70s and early 80s) like Yes, ELP, Renaissance, Floyd, Focus, Tull, Led Zeppelin, Triumvirat, etc, good orchestra seats were, like, $20.00 max.

I was at a Yes concert in Mountainview(Shoreline Amphitheatre) back in July 02, and the price for the same seats was nearly $100.00. Luckily, despite their ages, the band were anything but geriatric.
