Does this mean the supposed guilty (Saddam) should be reinserted and given his country back by your logic Caretaker? That would do disservice to the troops and Iraqi civilians who have tried for the last 2 years to put their country towards a better life for everyone and democracy. The truth is that the invasion WAS LEGAL. Saddam was in violation of 17 UN security council resolutions and of the Gulf War cease fire. From your rhetoric, I don’t believe you really care about truth, just spreading your propaganda.

Eason Jordan didn’t report Americans were targeting journalists. He said this in a closed-door session and as a result of his statement, he lost his job at CNN. Newsweek got the report of a Koran being flushed down the toilet from a military official. What he said may or may not have been true. At worst Newsweek made an honest mistake about an insignificant matter.

According to the President of Afghanistan, there weren’t riots caused by what was reported in the Newsweek magazine.

“Those demonstrations were in reality not related to the Newsweek story,” the Afghan president said. “They were more against the elections in Afghanistan. They were more against the progress in Afghanistan. They were more against the strategic partnership with the United States. We know who did it. We know the guys.
