[...] To add to my earlier points, on certain issues it helps to be tactful when attempting to get your point across. I have defended remarks made by other conservatives that I thought were taken out of context by the liberal mediots (Bill Bennett [scroll] and Rep. Jean Schmidt are two examples of that) because they deserved to be defended. The usual suspects took offense at Bennett’s and Schmidt’s remarks respectively - Bennett’s because he wasn’t being PC enough and Schmidt because she was supposedly ’smearing’ Vietnam vet Rep. John Murtha after he urged the US to essentially cut and run in Iraq. I cannot, however, do the same for Ann here. [...]

Liberal = liar. Add your own adjective. I prefer pathological infront of liar. I have never met a liberal who will honestly state their honest, true goals. I suspect for fear of being physically hurt by those who would be enslaved to fund the liberal's utopia and stripped of ALL their freedoms.

What was REALLY REALLY FUNNY was the Democrats claim (including Alan Colmes on Fox NEws) that Murtha wasn't calling for an immediate withdrawal of the troops.

Eat this Alan and you Dems!

Murtha WROTE an OP ED today in the USA TODAY

In it the first paragraph reads:
Staying the course in Iraq is not an option or a policy. I believe we must begin discussions for an immediate re-deployment of U.S. forces from Iraq. I believe it can be accomplished in as little as six months, but it must be consistent with the safety of U.S. troops.

To then call the Republicans ammendment that everybody voted against as not what Murtha wanted is Funny. Everyone knows that a pull out would take 6 months as the bringing the equipment to Iraq in the first place took 6 months. That is a PHONY argument and liberals KNOW THIS.

What the resounding defeat on the vote for immediate pullout shows is that, in fact, while everyone hates war and death only a very small percentage of Americans are so [expletive deleted] cowardly they would rather sit around in circles burning candles and singing Kum-bi-yah than actually go forth and defend their country. The GOP doesn't need any "bacon saving". Thats another deflection of the seriousness of the WOT by a party thats out of power and desperate to do anything to regain their former glories.

The irony of course is that they only feel safe in doing all this back biting and undercutting of our countries efforts to stop the Jihadist movement, precisely BECAUSE the Bush doctrines and war effort has been successful. But as always ironies are lost on the "elite".

This whole blathering "bowel movement of the mouth" desease by the Democrates is so glass clear obvious in wanting to force the Administrations popularity numbers as low as possible, and paint the worst possible picture leading up to the 2006 Congressional elections. They are using the absolutely normal distaste for war by any normal person purely for political gains. At this point I wouldn't vote for a Democrat for park cleaning duty. I've lost all respect for the other side after watching their manipulations and self-serving perfidity. In fact, though they may think this is the only choice they have, I wouldn't be all that surprised if they take an even bigger beating in the upcoming elections. Those that live by the lie, fail by the lie.

The Democratic left still doesn't get it. With the advent of the high speed communications and internet, American's can no longer be "duped" or manipulated by skewed polls, or the lying mis-reporting of the left MSM press.

The lack of focus and any real direction by the Dems, coupled with this obsessive preoccupation with the "get Bush" campaign the party is hell bent on pursuing, has caused some of my Dem friends to start to talk about jumping parties because they can't understand or accept what their own representatives are doing. No plan for the future or viable suggestions, just attack attack attack. Pethetic......

So did FoxNews at the top of the hour on AM1530 here in Sacramento. They didn't play Jean's comments they told us what she said and got it WRONG.

Jay Leno wrote, "What lie are you bloggers talking about? [The reported lie of what Schmidt said] Schmidt did say those words [not the ones that the press is reporting - there is video and I saw it 3 times], and my representative, Meehan, did shout those words back. Are you disputing that Murtha is a respected pro-military politician (he is) [nope - nobody I've read or heard did that], or are you disputing that he was personally attacked by Schmidt (he was)?[He was given a message that - Cowards cut and run Marines never do] I don't like the Times either because, yes, they do occassionaly lie and flip-flop, but this was an accurate story.[NOT] I am more conviced than ever that when you right-wingers are confronted with the truth, your response is nothing but anger and more lies.[I am a centrist conservative and I am not responding with anger but a hope that you'll see the inaccurate reporting] You need to relax. You have the white house and congress, and your president will continue to hit the bottle [are you hating?]and fail for the next 3 years.[Is this your hope - I don't hope that the economy stops booming (failing) - I don't hope that the Iraqi's fail to become free (fail) - I don't hope that problems aren't solved - Your hatred wishes a lot of doom on people?] It is going to be fun for both sides.[This is fun?
You're lying, too. There was no personal attack on Murtha. I'm not a teacher in comprehension, and shouldn't have to be. Go back and view the video. It is all but obvious to anyone not blinded by hatred for President Bush.
