For the past week or so, I have felt ‘off my game’ (so to speak) as in not up to my best. I have been majorly stressing over all the ins and outs of buying a townhome (other things are stressing me, but that’s the biggie). Today, I literally wanted to pull my hair out. This week I feel like I have been jumping hurdle after hurdle and each time they get a bit taller. And tonight, I am exhausted and physically sick from the stress.
Anyway, I feel like my writing has not been up to the standards it should be, which is why I didn’t blog much today because I am too drained emotionally to write anything meaningful … for all of that, I apologize.
I’ve got a busy day tomorrow afternoon, but I’ll be around to blog in the morning. Sunday will be a full day of blogging so I can catch up on some things I haven’t blogged about the last couple of days, including some tips that have been sent to me. I also am going to try a new comments option which I think will work out well in terms of me not having to moderate, which would mean your posts showing up right away (yay!). I need to work with it some this weekend but I assure you it doesn’t involve any word blacklists or anything LOL. So no posts should accidentally get lost. I’ll likely work on that Sunday. I also need to clean out my email – big time! LOL.
Ok – hope ya’ll have a good night, and I’ll catch you in the morning when I’m refreshed and ready to roll ![]()

ST, don’t apologize. Everyone needs a break every once in a while. Let’s see, you have a life, work, making a major purchase, and have a great blog. Heck, I’d be ready to crawl under the bed and hide for a while!
Get in bed or on the couch, cover up with your favorite ‘blankie’ and relax with a good book and a glass of wine (if you drink wine). Life is too short to be this stressed out.
Buying your home is more important than blogging. Don’t let the stress get you down! I take it you are back and forth on the negotiations! Good luck!
Let me get this straight – you are apologizing to us because you’ve been physically and emotionally stressed lately? And have not been giving us the ST bloggy goodness you think we are entitled to?
Well, all right then, apology accepted. By the way, you have heard the phrase “free ice cream,” right?
Take a break, get back on your game, and don’t neglect that “real life” thingy I hear some people talk about. Buying a house is way more important than publishing a blog – unless the mortgage is being paid by your blog earnings.
Our society inculcates “caring for others” before “caring for self” in its women. (Or is it innate?) But ya’ gotta take care of yourself before you can care for someone else, or you’ll wind up not looking after anyone/anything very well. No apologies for recharging your batteries are ever necessary. Kack out without remorse, ST. The sun will rise on a rejuvenated you.
NOPE, Sis! Your post have been great! I have linked to/sent out your post on Lieberman’s speech everywhere!
The writing has been excellent! Maybe stress helps! :^D
BTW, you should be at the condo on Galveston Bay ( facing the Port of Galveston or the north side of the Island) where I am at!
It’s a place called Tiki Island and I’ve got a third story balcony looking out over the Tiki marina, the bay and ship channel, the Galveston causeway, the Moody Gardens Pyramids (Rainforest Pyramid, etc: http://www.moodygardens.com/) the Lone Star Flight Museum (http://www.lsfm.org/) where a working B-17 and other famed aircraft are housed and every-once-in-while taken out for flights!) and of course I have a full view of Galveston island itself where we are getting ready for Dickens on the Strand where everybody dresses up in Dickensian costumes on the Strand, which looks a bit like Dickens’s own London of the time(http://www.galveston.com/).
I will be in waistcoat and stove pipe hat!

Sis, when this is all said and done, you will be sitting back blogging in your beautiful new townhome, thinking it was all worth while. Always remember there is hope in the future, no matter what the present seems to bring. We all care for you very much please take solace in that also. Always – Lorica
I agree with scmommy… no need to apologize…
