Baklava said, "This is a Global WAR on Terror and it just seems that you disagree with us being in Iraq. Who should we have gone to war with Tommy? 15 of the 19 hijackers were from Saudi Arabia not Afghanistan. THis is a global war on terror and the CRUCIAL point that leftists miss (I hope you don't miss it this time) is - WE cannot WAIT for another 9/11. We need to take this war on the offense. We aren't going to treat each bombing as a "law enforcement" action or "negotiate" with those groups who backed the operation."

Nobody is saying we should treat each bombing as a "law enforcement" action or "negotiate" with those groups who backed the operation.". All you are doing is repeating Conservative lies. After 9/11, the country overwhelmingly supported going to war in Afghanistan against the Taliban and the terrorists responsible for the attack. I don't know of a single member of Congress who was opposed to the war in Afghanistan, from the most liberal to the most conservative.

Baklava said, "While Bush's war has been imperfect - for instance not sealing the border - you sure as heck aren't gonna get the border sealed from leftists. You should see the leftist legislature out here in CA. They are trying to pass law after law making things easier for "illegal" immigrants and law after law giving public benefits and in-state tuitions, etc. Doctors without borders is leftist. ANSWER who wants no borders is leftist. The groups opposing the minutemen are leftist."

The federal government is responsible for protecting our borders, not the state government. Conservatives are the ones who control the federal government, not leftists. What has the conservative president or the conservative Congress done to make our borders more secure?

Baklava said, "You aren't going to get a more perfect war from leftists."

It's hard to imagine anyone doing much worse than Bush.

PCD said, "While terrorists follow their own schedule, right now their dance card is taken up in Iraq and Afghanistan."

Most people in Madrid and London would disagree with you on this.

PCD said "If you are looking for perfection, fugheddaboudit. No war has ever gone according to plan."

The 1967 war between Israel and the Arab countries pretty much went according to plan (for Israel). The 1991 Gulf war pretty much went according to plan.

Tommy very funnily wrote, <em>"saddam hussein had nothing to do with 9/11 pcd nothing"</em>

This is the statement by the left that proves the person uttering the phrase has NO reading comprehension. <strong>WHO Tommy claimed that "saddam hussein had [something] to do with 9/11"?</strong>. Your question implies that someone said it. Nobody has said it except for the left CLAIMING that someone said it.

You don't negotiate with the Islamofacists of the world. THAT is the lesson conservatives learned from 9/11 but leftists (unlike Lieberman, Ed Koch, Zell Miller) refuse to learn and continue to show America why they cannot be in a position of providing for America's national defense again.

War is awful but the left have NO points as far as I've seen. Including yourself in your posts Tommy.. Again. Nobody but the left has uttered the phrase Saddam wasn't responsible for 9/11 (duh).

(I couldn't believe John Kerry and John Edwards uttered the phrase during the debates...)

Tommy,

Directly Saddam had nothing to do with 9/11, but he did support terrorists and his air force did fire exocet missles into the USS Stark, or did you forget that? Saddam also harbored Abu Nidal, the terrorist.

While terrorists follow their own schedule, right now their dance card is taken up in Iraq and Afghanistan. We also may need to pay a military visit to Iran because of their Nuke program and they do fund, arm, facilitate terrorist in Iraq, and trouble makers like Al Sadr.

tommy- any place in the M.E. is a hotbed for a homicide bomber. What is it that will be accomplished by removing our troops? They will still strap bombs on and kill.

baklavva we'll skip the inital invasion, wmd, immiment threat argurement. as colin powell said with his pottery barn statement we bought iraq. it really is a fair question to wonder if the u.s.a. will put up these militia's running around commiting human-rights abuses but at the same time they are actually providing a solution to thwe security problem. as time goes on the situation in iraq will get clearer for better or worse. to me at this point i think all of the different factions in iraq can only seem to agree to disagree.

Tommy in <strong>NYC </strong>wrote, "<em>iraq is a sewer basically</em>

NYC is a sewer basically. Was progress being made under Guliani? Sure.

Tommy wrote, "<em>blowing his/her self up at the resturant it really is screaming room for improvement.</em>

There are the insane/illogical people causing harm all over the place.... Environuts spiking trees and injuring workers and mailing packages that bomb the recipient... Palestinians bombing weddings and cafe's... enviro's torching expensive auto's and houses. And hm. yep I'd say that's <em>"screaming"</em> that there's "room" for improvement...

The question Tommy is what is the SOLUTION for improvement. The left wants to have it both ways. Increase the amount of troops... Decrease the amount of troops... Pull out... Get more international involvement... The irrational/illogical left can only criticize but not SIT AND LISTEN to REASON.

President Bush has given the generals the amount of troops THEY wanted. Just this past few months troop levels were increased from 130,000 to 160,000 because the officers in the field thought it'd be wise for the voting. The voting happened pretty well. I'd say take the politics out of the equation and keep giving the generals what they want until the job is done. The left says NO we should criticize and find generals who AREN'T in the field who have a different opinion. In a time of war Tommy... you have no point. In the beginning of my post I pointed out how silly your argument is.

War isn't pretty and it seems that your ranting isn't very pursuasive, nor is it relevant.

Increase the amount of troops… Decrease the amount of troops… Pull out… Get more international involvement… The irrational/illogical left can only criticize but not SIT AND LISTEN to REASON.

President Bush has given the generals the amount of troops THEY wanted. Just this past few months troop levels were increased from 130,000 to 160,000 because the officers in the field thought it’d be wise for the voting. The voting happened pretty well. I’d say take the politics out of the equation and keep giving the generals what they want until the job is done. The left says NO we should criticize and find generals who AREN’T in the field who have a different opinion. In a time of war Tommy… you have no point. In the beginning of my post I pointed out how silly your argument is.

War isn’t pretty and it seems that your ranting isn’t very pursuasive, nor is it relevant.
