that is disgraceful sister toldjah. to even suggest that members of them democratic party are actually rooting for terrorists to defeat our troops on the battlefield is a cheap shot. there are many dems that are expecting an apology from yer.
Well tommy, it just so happens that Howard Dean feels like the war in Iraq is unwinnable, just like the war in Vietnam, and that we should cut our losses and get out.

The Democrats are calling for surrender in Iraq, cutting and running immediately. There is no apology necessary from the dear sister to you or any other Democrat hack.
You can’t be patriotic and work for your country’s defeat.
To scmommy and Pam i guess you can say i’m only half-joking. I know it was ment to be satirical but after the swiftboating of a combat veteran it is not funny when the left’s patriotism gets questioned all the time.
Tommy that is because the left is NOT patriotic. Kerry had the truth told on him, and Kerry never told the truth once during the campaign or signed a complete form 180 Releasing ALL his military records as Bush did.
Ther swifties told and documented the truth. Kerry lied to Congress and to the public.
tommy- maybe if the left didn’t make such absurd comments such as those made by Murtha, Dean and Kerry, we wouldn’t question their patriotism. Be honest; when you heard/read what they said this week, didn’t a part of you go “uh oh!”?
One more thing. That lie Kerry told to Congress about the conduct of US Forces in Vietnam caused POWs held by the North Vietnameses to be beaten more, mistreated more, and some even killed. That is traitorous action Kerry has yet to answer for.
Pam with regards tto Dean and Kerry yes. Rep John Murtha is a little different story. This war in Iraq has been the longest conflict since the start of our volunteer military. It is putting a strain on it as an organization. Does anyone here honestly think the Murtha would’ve have made such a statement if he didn’t speak with high ranking members of the military? He knew it would get attention since he is a retired colonel who did 2 tours in vietnam.
I just love the left. They scramble to find someone, anyone, with any military credentials, find some washed up old fart like Murtha, and then take his defeatist, inane babble and hold it up like some kind of Biblical tablet from on high just because “a military guy!” said it. Wise up, it isn’t any less inane, defeatist, and reprehensible because a former Marine said it, it’s worse, because a former soldier who should know better has decided to stab our efforts and soldiers in the back.
You would do well to stop reading the talking points of the Democrat party. Kosovo is longer than Iraq because Kosovo has been going on since Clinton involved us. Haiti has been going on longer than that. We are still in South Korea and Germany.
Good God, man, do you ever think about the krap you post?
tommy- yes I do think he would make the statement. I think he has made these statements for political gain and not concern for the men and women wearing his uniform. Had he thought about how this would have affected them, he would not have said it. Yes this is the longest conflict since the draft was abolished, but our troop levels are not below where they were during the draft. Are we running things differently than when there was a draft? yes. Do this people enlisting understand this?yes. And for Murtha to say this army is broken is a bit disengenuous. He was a member of the military when it went through the transition between draft and volunteer. He was part of that cleanup. This army is far from broken! Shame on Murtha..shame shame!
Well if youse on the right wish to keep deluding yourself that this conflict has been a smashing success don’t let your arms get tired patting the members of the Bush 43 admin on their backs.I happen to live in the real world and while we sure ain’t losing in Iraq there is a real possibilty that this war can turn into a real disaster for the good ol’ U.S.A.. It makes this veteran shake his head.
You live in NYC tommy, what do you know about the “real world?” Iraq is going a lot better than anyone in the liberal press or among the Dems (with the exception of Lieberman) will ever let on. It’s going better than I ever thought such an asymmetric conflict would ever go, and would be going much better if we didn’t have our own enemy column here in this country rooting for failure. Yes, there is a very real possibility it’ll get turned into a crap sandwich BECAUSE OF PEOPLE LIKE YOU!!! Not because of what Bush and company did or didn’t do, but because of partisan politicians who care more about their own political power than the good of the country, and their supporters, who also appear to be incapable of supporting anything this country does that’s either for the country’s benefit or proposed by a Republican.
tommy, you deal in scuttlebutt from the left. You should know all about how scuttlebutt is usually wrong and the biggest mongers of scuttlebutt are the useless members that the rest of the unit has to carry.
BTW, you’ve refuted nothing. All you done is being shotdown repeatedly.
Now, hear this. Saddam is on trial. The Iraqi people are fighting back, putting their lives and government together.
You have a vested interest in failure of Iraq, the US failing in Iraq, and the US failing in the world. What does that make you tommy? It sure is not a patriot.

Well, in spite of the fact that War is terrible and imperfect, when comparing to other wars… like say Vietnam (that a Democrat president put troops into and a Republican president pulled us out of..) I’d say 65,000 soldiers killed is an indicator that this war is more of a success..
And what kind of heartless soul would ask about smashing success with regards to a war anyway? All we are saying is that your incorrect accusations are … incorrect. And then you get mad…. Well.. be mad… but if your incorrect accusations are incorrect then maybe you should re-evaluate what you are saying…
NOBODY that I know of has said this war has been perfect. You can look at EVERY war including WW2 and say that there were atrocities, imperfections, decisions that should’ve been some other decision, etc.
For the Democrats to take those facts and then say, see.. we shouldn’t have fought the war or.. we should pull out immediately.. or the war was fought for oil… or we are occupiers… or we are torturing prisoners and that is the policy of Bush… or we have not enough troops there… or whatever the invalid irrelevant point is … isn’t any reason to vote for a Democrat. It gives us more of a reason to make sure the Democrats do not regain power because National Security should’ve been ABOVE hatred of Bush.
I venture to say that NONE of us care if it’s Bush. All that matters is that it’s someone in the White House who has perspective about the war on terror. There WAS a lesson to be learned on 9/11 and the Democrats HAVEN’T learned it (except for folks like Zell, Ed, Joe).
I’d say you and your leader’s rhetoric has been a “smashing succuess” at giving aid and comfort to the enemy…

Hilarious Sister:lol:
Scrappleface is a must read every day!
Tommy, have you surrendered your sense of humor? It’s satire for goodness sakes. The name ‘Scrappleface’ should have given you a clue.
I could be wrong, butI’ll go out on a limb here and say Tommy is just joking.

PCD- I agree. Kerry got “swift-boated” only because he had it coming. He certainly hasn’t been able to disprove the allegations.
