UN Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian people

Check out these photos from the November 29th “UN Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian people.” Please note the country missing from the map displayed in between the UN and Palestinian flag.

And we’re STILL supposed to believe that the Palestinians have a desire to ‘peacefully co-exist’ with Israel as soon as the land that was ‘stolen’ from them is ‘returned.’ Uh huh.

(Thanks for the heads up, FT)

Related: Looks like John Bolton is kicking bootie and taking names regarding the lack of UN condemnation of the latest terrorist attack in Israel:

U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations John Bolton issued a statement Tuesday unequivocally condemning the bomb attack in the Israeli town of Netanya that killed at least five people. The unusual action came after a U.S. attempt to have the statement issued by the Security Council was rejected.

Diplomats attending the meeting say several Council members raised concerns about language in the U.S.-drafted document. Ambassador Bolton, however, blamed Algeria for quashing the measure by objecting to a passage urging Syria to close offices of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, which claims responsibility for the attack. “Other governments had questions about particular language. We were perfectly prepared to engage in discussions about constructive suggestions, but Algeria categorically refused to name Syria and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad,” he said.

The U.S. envoy later read the text of the statement to reporters, and lashed out at the Council for what he called “failing to speak the truth”.

He said “you have to speak up in response to these terrorist attacks. It’s a great shame that the Security Council couldn’t speak to this terrorist attack in Netanya, but if the Council won’t speak, the United States will.”

You got that right!

You won’t see any Democrats other than Lieberman decring this outrage. Boxer, Schumer, and Feinstein will not let their religion get in the way of their love for anti-democracy forces in the world that hate the US and hate Israel.

That whole thing was just absurd.

I have a real hard time with the UN. Ever since we allowed it to be taken over by that 3rd world thug. I cannot believe that they let him off the hook when it came to oil for bribes too. – Lorica

Palestine, an ancient nation viciously destroyed by the Jews, Zionists, Americans and the UN. Oddly, though I have read lots of world history, I come up a bit blank on the history of the Palestinian nation. Maybe someone could enlighten me.
Who were the founders of Palestine and when? What form of government did it have? What were its predominant languages and religions? What was its currency called and how did it compare to its contemporary currencies? Where was its capitol? What nations sent ambassadors? To whom did Palestine send embassies? What alliances did it have and who were its enemies? What was its GNP and major products and exports?
See, I come up blank on all this. All I recall is that “Palestine” was a regional administrative area under Rome, sort of like the “Pacific Northwest.” And it was full of Jews with only a very few Arabs until the Diaspora in about 70 AD.
Could anyone help me with this? I want to be up-to-date, dontchknow?

Yes Israel was full of Jews until about 70AD. Here is a link to a brief history of Israel.

It has been taken over by one country of another for the last 2000 years, that is why you don’t see much on Palestine. – Lorica
