It used to be there were scarce sources of alternative information and they were ridiculed by the dominant press. Every year that has passed since 1988 has been a fabulous rebirth of conservative ideas being hoisted around.

Leftists can choose to ignore the ideas, call it hate, discredit it but we actually now have the upper hand. It was Democrats largely in power from FDR to 1994 (with a few Republican Presidents but democrat controlled Congress, state legislatures, and majority Democrat Governors.)

While the nation is now majority Republican controlled governors, state legislatures and Congress and finally with the year 2001 a Republican in the White House also, we need to stay confident (even though the governing is to the left of center still) that we are gaining the upper hand and treat all rank and file leftists with as much respect as we can (lord knows I fail at this also).

We need to pursuade and convert. Find ways to get into the debate of ideas and solutions…

Your post brings up somehing I’d like to explore. The left loves to bash Israel anytime it can. Iran wants to wipe out Israel. Do American leftist Jews think the world will stop killing Jews at America’s shores?

I really think Jewish politicians who ignore Iran, want to cut and run in Iraq and Afghanistan, should be asked, “Do you believe you and your family will be spared when the world starts killing Jews anywhere and every where once Israel is destroyed?”
