Steve, people on the right use the exact same tactics to attack those on the left, so don’t get all high and mighty about it. “I used to be a Democrat… but I think Bush’s tax cuts are good for the economy” or “I’m Independent, but let me say this about tort reform…” are frequent ploys that are used as a premise to unleash a stream of right wing propaganda quite often coughed up from an orifice of Rush Limbaugh that happens not to be his mouth.

This b.s. comes from both sides and no one should be surprised by that.

I think it’s kind of pathetic when people resort to such ham-fisted subterfuge. Believe me, it’s equally transparent and blatantly obvious when FReepers (for lack of a better term) pretend to be liberals.

It seems there is plenty of stupidity to go around the whole political spectrum.

Note the claim to be a Republican and conservative… the antiwar lefties have been using that tactic for a while now.

There literally is no lie so venal or blatant or nonseniscal that they will not shamelessly use it (and this one is small potatoes compared to their usual litany). Of course there are Republicans and conservatives who oppose the war – but they don’t sound like the frothing moonbats. That’s what these clowns can never disguise.

Spelling America with a “K” – yeah, like that isn’t a dead giveaway. But then, so is the “you can’t handle the real truth” line.

Are they starting that stuff again already? I was getting tons of garbage like that during the month or so running up to the 2004 election. I was always willing to hit “reply all” and slam back a rant of my own on the same subject. Usually, they would either stop sending, or take me off their list… either of which suited me just fine.

you could at least post their address as a gif or jpeg, that way they won’t get regular spam thanks to you.
