What took so long for W to take his case public?

Seems obvious that his sudden agressive media posture made the numbers go up. Iraq elections may have helped a bit but reminding us all why he is doing what he is doing and reinforcing the fact that its working is long overdue.

Carry on. **==

MSM surveys seem to vary. What do ordinary people think? I can only go on what I read and excluding the perpetual pessimism of the MSM. Bush seems to be doing a good job. One day he will be remembered for the great job he did.
Lincoln may have lost the 1864 election but for Grant and Sherman.
As history tell us "The Democratic Party held its nominating convention in Chicago, Illinois. Peace Democrats were in firm control.
Peace Democrats demanded an immediate end to the Civil War. They did not care if the North and South remained apart permanently.
The party's statement contained these words: "after four years of failure to restore the union by war... justice, humanity, liberty, and the public welfare demand that immediate efforts be made to end the fighting. Let us look to a convention of states -- or other peaceable means -- to restore the union."
