Heh! I love this.
Maybe it’s because I’m feeling a bit on edge tonight, but I’m sitting here thinking about how much undermining of the war has gone on by the bogus accusations of ‘lies’ by Democrats in Congress and it makes me sick. I just cannot get over how so many of them are working to turn this into Vietnam in terms of the war being fought on two fronts – both abroad and in the press. Anti-war sentiment and negative press DID have an effect on the Vietnam war in terms of support … and the same crap is happening all over again.
Nothing we didn’t already know, of course, considering he’s really been the only voice of sanity and consistency among the Democrats in Congress regarding the Iraq war – but it’s worth repeating, especially after you read this excellent piece written by blogger Seixon on how some lefty think tanks, blogs, and opinion piece writers are targeting him for his steadfast refusal to back down from his support of the Iraq war.
Cliff Kincaid from Accuracy in Media has an eye-opening piece that discusses some assertions written in a Nov. 3 Washington Post column written by Jim Hoagland where Mr. Hoagland expressed the view that some people in the CIA and other high organizations full of Clinton-era holdovers and supporters were/are out to undermine the Bush administration (Hoagland strongly chided the Bush admin for its handling of la Affaire de Plame as well).
Andi over at Andi’s World visited Ground Zero recently and blogged her thoughts about what she saw there. She’s provided a strong message of why we must stand strong and not waver in the face of those who would advocate we leave Iraq before the job is done.
Just wanted to take a quick minute to recommend three blogs that I’ve recently added to my blogroll:
