You not it’s really funny sitting here reading all these post from people all around the country about Mayor Ray. You see I am from New Orleans I was born here and will die here this is my home and I love it, I guess I have trouble being upset with the Mayor for his comments (yes I am white) when you look back at the pathetic way all of this was handleed in the first place why are people really so surprised that he saild at all? Look he knows that his political career is over his and Gov. Blankstaire so he figured he go out with a bang.

As someone who has lived on the Gulf Coast and experienced N’awlins on several ocassions, nothing surprises me about this. Long before Katrina came around, that city was literally and figuratively a cesspool full of nastiness, corruption, and yes, ignorance as Nagin clearly demonstrates time and time again.

Mayor Nagin is a racist bastard and I hope someone straightens him out. If he wants an all black city, then there wouldnt be any welfare money cause all the whites would have left. Then what are the “chocolates” gonna do? I am sorry that i am being so forward about this, but i liked mayor Nagin until he said what he said. Now if a white person would have given that speech and said they want all milk city, the NCAACP would have been trying to put him behind bars. The blacks just started coming back and there have already been 2 shooting both involving deaths. My friends child asked me the other day we he gets off of school for a black guy but not for any white heros, like George Washington or Christopher Columbus, true heros, who also had dreams. I was speechless and didnt know what to say. We give them the chocolates to much as it is, and they still want more. Now they are asking us to stop the war to give black people the money for better schools. And i promise they will get it.

Ray’s noggin is out in left field someplace.

There was a black majority in Nawlins before Katrina, hence the black city council and continuous black mayors — father and son Morials, each serving multiple terms, now this bonehead.

The black politicians, no more than babysitters of city infrastructure and not very good at it, basically are there to keep their electorate happy and keep them stroked.

The real power and financial know-how in the Crescent City, along with the businesses and the most(by far) property, is in the hands of old white money.

Nagin, like the rest of Nawlins’ city officials, serves at the pleasure of the old boy network(white folks).

That said, Nagin is just blowing smoke with his “chocolate” scenario, trying to get himself reelected when his term is up.
