The US needs to increase the BILLIONS it spends on Poverty…that is just the US government, not the additional money that comes from charity organizations.

But even though the US gives more than all other nations combined, it is not enough, it never is.

Why? Cause as they say the US is prosperous, we should give MORE.

No. How is that the fault of the U.S. though? And if a dollar buys more in another country than the U.S. (let’s say 20-40 times more – which is the case for some countries) than I have earned the equivalent for years.

In America you can overcome that condition (unless you stay dependant on the government – but then you don’t have to work and you are cared for).

Let’s cut to the chase here. Economically speaking what do you think is the “solution” for all of the problems you see. Identifying the fact that poverty exists and the U.S. is prosperous, and how much is spent where is pointless as you don’t believe me and it is black and white facts and figures. So what would you see as a solution?

The simple easy answer is POVERTY! I believe your mindset and knowledgebase is causing your distress. You might want to change where you are being educated and/or read other sources of information. It is pointless to try to appeal to someone who has been brainwashed but I am forever an optimist. Maybe one day you’ll come around.

But there ARE nations who have more income per capita than Americans. There is a formula for having a successful and prosperous nation. It would be wise for middle east and African nations to try to emulate one of these nations as opposed to something else.

I’m sorry you believe all this dooom and gloom and don’t think America or Israel has the right to defend themselves. It seems you just have quite a different viewpoint than mine.

We are in no position to “invade” NK. We haven’t been through 12 years of U.N. resolutions and trying to get NK’s leader to comply. We are at the diplomatic stage with NK. I’m not thinking you are as informed as you think you are.

Yes. Again. We give more aid to all of the other nations of the world than all other nations give combined. It seems you don’t like prosperity. I empathize with you. But you can’t build prosperity by tearing down prosperity. Prosperity doesn’t come by pillaging in the U.S. Prosperity isn’t chosen by some government entity. Prosperity is made through hard work, good ideas, risks and people choosing your goods and services. If you penalize hard work, and success, less people will do anything more than be dependant on government services. And where do government services come from? From taxpayers. So it is impossible to help by penalizing people who work with higher tax rates. This prosperity has grown through the years to the point that we have GIVEN way more than some people might have stolen a century or so ago. I’m sorry you think otherwise and haven’t answered the question but I believe no matter what people like you say (with no appreciation) we will continue to be generous. You can continue your attitude or change it but we will continue our prosperity and generosity.

I understand your will to defend Islam. Islam probably isn’t the problem and you faizel do not need to defend it. The problem is people who are distoring/using/hijacking Islam, funding terrorism, planning terrorism, targeting civilians, saying openly that they will kill millions of Americans. The bin Laden tapes mention millions.

We take these threats seriously. We will try to defend ourselves as well as shut down financing of terrorism and surveille communications and detain folks who are enemies in this war.

They are teaching hatred in the Mosques.

Wahibism is being taught, not Islam.

There are even cases where it has been found to being taught in the US.

I don’t see ‘a few’ malcontents burning embassies, setting fire to innocent people, kidnapping people, cutting off thier heads, ransoming them and killing them, stoning people to death, cutting off little school girls heads, murdering thier wives and children, blowing up buildings, blowing up women and children.

These are not ‘a few’ malcontents. This is being TAUGHT to them in the Mosques to HATE all that is not Moslem, to HATE all that is not a believer in Islam. And even those that beleive and are Moslem, if they die while trying to kill an infidel, they have died in a worthy cause is thier thoughts. This is what is being taught to them.

When thier normal daily chant is DEATH TO AMERICA, DEATH TO ISRAEL, DEATH DEATH DEATH…that is what is being taught to them in the Mosques. That does not show me this is the religon of peace. Thier actions show me the opposite, it shows me it is the reilgon of terror, the religon of murder, the religon of killing.

This may seem offensive, and i am not trying to be. What I am saying is that as an outsider to Islam, if seeing how a Moslem teahces, and what they show to the outside world of thier religon is hatred, murder and terror…..what does that show me of the religon itself?

As a Christian, one thing we try to do is live our life as an outward showing of what we believe and how we worship.

How we live our lives should reflect on our beliefs.
