The taps had to do with suspected terrorists and their sympathizers here. Tap the bas**ards! Clinton and Carter did it. I'm sure Reagan and Bush the Elder did it. No problem, no story. Don't expect it to get any real attention after that until the '06 and '08 elections, when the Republicans will bring it up again as convincing proof that the Democrats aren't serious about national security, at which point the Dems and their MSM shills, who were so eager to jump all over this when they thought it'd be to their advantage, will wail that bring it up is just a way to question their already doubtful patriotism. I'm not sure why the letter was written in the first place. Maybe it was due to the way some people (like the media) characterized the program. Whatever the reason, I hope Olymnpia has changed her sources of information so she isn't duped like this anymore.
