With Kwan out of the womens figure skating, most of the intrigue is gone from that fun on ice, except maybe a round of third stringers trying to see which one can keep from falling down. Hockey, well with the Gretzgy thing turning out to be no "there" there, thats fizzled. I watched a little last night for the first time while I was putting laundry away in my daughter's room. However, anything that says "Figure Skating" is getting TIVOed for my daughter. The gold is up for grabs - no clear cut favorite. Other than that I just can't get into the XCountry no matter how much Al Trautwig dramatizes it... Hockey too slow compared to the NHL?
