I have been reading a book on our founding fathers and it would be hard to settle on just one person. Here are some other names that have not been mentioned.

Benjamin Franklin
Thomas Jefferson
Samuel Adams
Patrick Henry

Not to take away from George Washington but with out the above mentioned and others in their contributions and sacrifice's to the beginnings of our country I don't think America would be as great as she is. We are a Constitutional Republic of Laws and I would challenge any one to find the word "Democracy" in the Constitution or The Bill of Rights.

Reagan's got to come second. Reagan changed a country. Washington made one. Washington accepting no more honorable title than "Mr. President" and quitting after two terms were thow of the most important things he could have done. They don't sound like much, but that precedence guaranteed our democracy would continue.

Lincoln is right at the top for saving the union and finally putting an end to the Pope's tricks. Peace
