Europe might be in good shape since they would have been expending their energy on expansion in North America so by the time tensions in 1914 occur The British have moved down from Canada into the upper Midwest and a Great War for borders is fought in the Central part of the US with all sorts of treaties between the Imperial Powers coming into use.
