Let’s hope this can be confirmed! Via AP:

BAGHDAD, Iraq (AP) – Interior Ministry forces captured a top aide to al-Qaida in Iraq leader Abu Musab al-Zarqawi during a raid in western Iraq, state television reported Monday.

Iraqiya TV identified the captive as Abu al-Farouq, a Syrian. It said he was captured with five other alleged al-Qaida operatives in the Sunni insurgent stronghold of Ramadi, 70 miles west of Baghdad. The raid was carried out by the ministry’s counterinsurgency Wolf Brigade.

Don’t mean to be a spoil sport, but that makes how many number two or three Al quieda guys we have captured or killed?
Its like Lays potato chips, they make more.

If it’s from al-AP we’d better confirm it from a less loopy source.

Sacred Heart University poll today reported 47.8% want the troops pulled out of Iraq now, 44.1% disagreed. Time to wind this debacle down and let the Iraqis handle their own affairs. Peace

and we will, WHEN the Iraqis are trained enough so they can.

otherwise you just leave them open to be killed.

You pull the troops out and leave them unprotected while they try and get their government and support together, then you might as well pull the trigger yourself steve, because you will have just killed them.

  5. Ryan says:

Ahh, but you see Steve wants peace, even if it means more Iraqis die because of an immediate withdrawl.
