Hell I have been thinking it needs to be raised 50 percent Steve. This way we can afford to make better weapons systems. Also really wouldn’t the Defense department be more facists?? Seems to me that would be closer to the mark.

I would be all for your suggestion as long as you peaceniks would promise to fend for yourselves. We could put you like in California, since there are already so many there. The time has come to take on the largest Socialist boondoggle in the government. The Defense Department. $450 billion plus $100 billion off the books for Iraq, in fiscal 2006 is far too much money for this entitlement program. The defense budget should be cut by 50%. Peacer

Reagan really wasn’t heavy handed with anyone but Lybia and Lebanon and look at those two countries today, both wanting to become democracies. Seems to me he was 25 years ahead of himself, but so many posting here already know this. He was such a genius. Such an incredible man. Don’t believe me, just ask Nancy. Ray-gun was directly responsibility for the price we are all paying in deaths and treasure in the Middle East today. His ham-handed policy in support of Israel at the expense of the Arab Nation may have been one element in deciding to crash airplanes into the Towers. During the Carter years Americans pride in their country had fallen to probably some of its lowest levels.
After Ronald Reagan took office the mood in America started to change from his inaugural speech the pride in America started flowing back from east coast to west coast. Speech after speech not only Americans felt good about our country again but others in the world could see that we meant what we said and our pride was shining through.
Just ask the former leaders of the Soviet Union ask the East Germans ask the peoples of the former satellite states of the USSR.

I was super pleased to be able to visit the library in simi valley this past summer for an afternoon. It’s really beautiful country, and the facility is super well done

the gipper now has a great view! When the youngish trees grow in some (garden) it will truly be something else, worthy of a visit.
