I would much rather see people have a sincere love of the person even when they think that homosexuality is a sin.

And it is sincere in many cases. They have a sincere doctrinal belief, and it is not for me or anyone else to say they have to change it as long as they do not force it on others. As long as what they do is not taken to extremes, they are protected. When it is, they should be chastized.

Fred Phelps is my idea of a classic extreme, but his frothing anti gay tirades are nothing like most christians beliefs.

It seems like people want them to respect gay people but they wont show them equal respect for their religeous belief. There has to be a middle ground, and like it or not their trying to be loving is at least a good start.
