Absolutely correct AnnaB. In my work I run into the families of the troops almost daily, and I can tell you they are very grateful for even a few kind words. We have an organization here called QC F.I.S.T. (Families in Support of Troops) They have a great deal of community support. It is a good an decent thing for these men and woman to return home the heros they are. – Lorica

Nothing any one who supports the war says or does will be enough for those who so violently opppose our efforts there – you can back it up with facts and conviction but even that won’t get you anywhere. That’s obvious from the backlash Mr. Rumsfeld received after writing this letter and the posts above. If this won’t do it for you, how about talking to a soldier’s family who support our efforts and want to make sure their son or daughter’s efforts are not in vain. It’s sad when families and troops have to ask Americans to support them but that is exactly what is being done. I just hope they know that many Americans know that progress has been made in Iraq and we support the troops and their mission.

Whoa. Extremist rhetoric there. This is the kind of stuff that keeps Democrats out of office Steve. When Kerry referred to Republicans and Dean referred to Republicans the way you did it has marginalized them. You can either REALIZE that we are after the same end result (peace, prosperity, no racism, good education) or keep referring to Republicans as you do and keep your desired party out of power.

It’ll be YOUR failure to grow and learn.

There are corrupt people in almost every large entity. I’ll bet you a million dollars there is one in General Motors or Ford Motor Company right now. Referring to a bunch of people like you have Steve is not productive to debate and simply exemplifies what your mind is made of.

And those woman’s kids could’ve been saved if Steve was there to talk the husband out of killing the woman’s kids (although that would’ve been nothing more than the woman was doing herself – pleading for him to stop).

A couple months ago Steve you actually answered a question and told us that with your death plan you would’ve not been part of the solution for peace (through strength) because you would’ve not been one to exercise strength.

I apologize on your behalf that your reasoning and logic is so shallow that you call others warmongerers even though our solutions bring about more peace than yours.

Do you know how many soldiers died in WW2? Defeat of the enemy is the only way sometimes to bring about peace. Your absolutism and close mindedness leads you only one option… to submit to the will of the enemy. You are allowed to sit there and name call and antagonize and mischaracterize people all day because of the people who have fought and died for you in previous generations.

They aren’t free yet. So lets try the following: immediately reestablish full diplomatic relations with Iran. Begin with discussions about Iraq and then move to creating a nuclear weapons free zone from the Mediterranean Sea to the Bay of Bengal and beyond. A first order of business would be to strip Israel of it’s nuclear weapons. Peace
