You are correct about the flag business. the recent protests by the illegals and the things they said are very troubling. I honestly think they want a war with us. I am more than willing to give it to them.

Severian; I like your idea, unfortunately we probably will not see that happen.
Our politicians seem to love them more than citizens of this country.

Steve; Yes, again, unfortunately the illegals can and do get on welfare, as well as unemployment, enter our public schools and burden every other social institution that you can think of.

In a time like this when the United States is hemorraging jobs to every 3rd world country on the planet (3 million jobs just in manufacturing)and record trade deficits to the tune of 7.2 billion and 50 million American have no health insurance. We are embroilled in the bush war on top of all of that.

The citizens of the United States of America are pissed off. And now we have to stand by and watch illegal immigrants hold protests against us, burn our flag and have the gaul to tell us to go home to Europe.
Simply put; MAKE US.
We conqured this country, we fought for and took this land from, yes the Native Americans, England, France, and Spain.
Get you an army togther and bring it on…Im sure we wouldnt have any trouble at all finding people willing to fight for OUR country.

Illegals should be given a year to get out (ALL nationalities)no more coming to America and having kids so your children will be legal citizens.

Only a SPECIFIC number of people can become legal citizens of the U.S. each quarter of the year.

If your not an illegal alien then please learn some basic english, you live here, you should conform to some degree. Frankly I am getting tired of people screaming broken cryptic impossible to understand English because they are frusterated and think that somehow YELLING the same *words?* will help me understand them.

These people are Hispanic, and like any group they stick together. If you think your trapped underpaid discriminated against or whatever… Find a bilengual friend, learn english (if you plan on staying here) get yourself an education (G.E.D. or Diploma) go job hunting, get a better job, go to colledge, get an even better job, climb the ladder, better yourself, translate these tips for non-english speaking friends and family and respect the country you live in.

You don’t need to put up the fence along the whole border. Just put it up in the places like Arizona where most of illegals come through.

This will send the signal to Mexico and pro-immigrant supporters that US is serious about protecting its borders.

There is no such thing as undocumented worker. It is a myth. If you break the law, you pay. America is a nation of laws first and foremost. I played by the rules when I immigrated to America. I am a naturalized citizen and I am proud of being an American. People who protested and waived Mexican flags have no rights because they didn’t respect the laws to come here and therefore must be sent back, but some illegals who assimilated should be allowed to pay penalties and given an option to stay once they meet conditions like learn English, pay taxes etc. It should be one time deal though.

Oh, documents you can get on Los Angeles street corners. No one checks them.

I see them in government buildings all the time and in the hospitals, ect.

Have you seen malkins list of illegal immigrant illegal documents that range from drivers licenses to social security cards?

Too drastic.

My main concern would be to first stop the flow of illegal immigrants entering the country, this increases the security of our nation for one, and will stop those coming in with health or criminal backgrounds.

Next I would untie the hands ofthe police, and have them work closely with INS, allowing them to arrest and deport illegal immigrant criminals.

After which we can debate on what to do with the remain that are here to improve themselves or looking for a better life. I am all for suggestions, but if they have been here for a certain amount of time (sort of like squaters rights) I would say allow them to begin the process of citizenship legally, and incorporate them into American Society.

Say, that’s fairly close to my own proposal. First, close the border except for immigration points. First thing you do when the basement’s flooded is shut off the water, right? Then, make illegal presence in the US a felony starting in six months. Anyone who registers and leaves before then, will be put on the list for immigration with no penalty. We might even appease the bleeding hearts by offering relocation assistance, especially if they take their families with them. In six months, start the guest worker program and hunt down any illegals remaining in America. Those caught will be deported and banned for life. I’m betting there’ll be a mad rush for the borders.

Here’s the “amnesty” program we need: If you’re an illegal alien, you have 1 year to either leave the country or turn yourself in. After that, if we find you, we execute you, and dump your body on the border as a warning to others.

Baby born here not of US citizen parents, is NOT a citizen.

If you are one of the children born here, if you’re not 18, then back to your home country with your parents you go.

Halt the flow, and then deal with the mess.

You don’t try and clean up something while it is still becoming a mess, you stop what is making the mess, then clean it up.

Lets look at it from a FLOOD point of view, or take it from flooding in New Orleans….

Do you try and disperse or sponge up water that floods your neighborhoods (doing something with illegal immigrants already in the US) meanwhile you are still being overwhelmed and flooded with even more water (Illegal Immigrants)?

Or

Do you STOP THE FLOW OF WATER (illegal immigrants) at the Source (The Border)?

If you want to stop the flooding, you stop the break in the dam the holds back the water and THEN you deal with the mess that it has made.

You MUST deal with the break in the Dam FIRST before addressing the problems the flood caused…
