Iran’s nuclear program was given to the Shah on the advice of Cheney, Rumsfeld and Wolfowitz. These people are conservative Republicans not Liberals. As a matter of fact, the Iranian Revolution was, in large part, caused by the sale and outright gift of this nuclear program to the Shah.
