Actually in a way I welcome these scams, as I’m getting closer and closer to believing this case is, like all the “othres” we’ve seen floated by the ravenous anti-war/military press. Enough of the “ScamGates”, and people will just start ignoring it. I think its already to that point with a lot of the American people. I know a lot of my friends scoff almost automatically when they see these so called “atrocities” played up in the press now.

- They over did it with Abu Graibe, and I’ll bet they’ll over do it with this one too. Theres comments already by the “witness’s” that just don’t square with the way American troops think. Killing live stock intentionally and shotting handcuffed prisoners. Those are all the sort of “pillage and burn” you would expect from the crazies in their culture, but not something our guys would even think of doing. I’m about to toss this one in the gutter with all the rest, as just another propaganda effort by the Jihadists.

- and I absolutely aggree. If they won’t allow autopsies, then the whole thing should be scuttled, period. They don’t want us to see the Russian ammo they were killed with.

Sanity and it doesn’t take anything for the media to paint our troops with that coat of slime. Nothing but bad news to turn public opinion even if they have to add a little to the story to make us look bad. And never but never print a retraction when they slim our troops.

Funny, haven’t people been saying all along how the terrorists know how to play the media and the left?

What better way to whip them up in a frenzy and increase the calls of retreat of the troops.

What better way to garner more support for their side.

What better way to paint the troops with another coat of slime.

They cannot win against the military, but they can win by public opinion as they use the media to help spread more support for their cause.

The more that I see and hear about the “evidence and testimony” against our Marines in this incident, the more it looks very much like a well orchestrated terrorist frame job. There’s a distinct possibility that, contrary to what Murtha and the rest of the usual suspects are bleating, our Marines are being set up, either they didn’t do anything wrong, or if they did something, it’s being manipulated and made to appear far worse than it is by careful exaggeration and manipulation of the press. The insurgents aren’t idiots, they know how to play the media and the general anti-US sentiment in the press and worldwide, and use the idiots in the “human rights” organizations, they play them like a cheap fiddle. They also aren’t above murdering people just so they can blame it on us. I begin to doubt that the investigation will be that fair, due to slanted evidence and testimony, lack of firm real evidence, and pressure to find a guilty party, just like in “Breaker Morant.”

Now the Iraqi’s are refusing to exhume the bodies to allow proper forensic examination, due to “religious” reasons. How convenient, let’s use that excuse of “Moslems will find it insulting so we better kiss their butts or they will get mad” to further suppress evidence that could help us get to the bottom of this.

I say, no exhumation, we cancel the investigation and stop paying any money to the affected parties. If you won’t help us get to the bottom of this, then we don’t care either and we aren’t paying.

It’s good you mentioned about ‘blood money’ cause i was just thinking about that.

What better way to get large sums of money that to set up a bunch of American Marines, so that they will be paid large sums of money.

Now, before people go all nuts on me, I am ofering that as ONE of many possible things that could have happened, and I will await a trial to see what really happened. One thing Murtha is not doing by already condemning our troops before they have a trial – guilty before trial in his eyes.

One thing I found interesting is:

This account differs slightly from an ABC News report which shows a video of Safa Younis. She calmly says yes to leading questions from an off-camera interviewer describing Marines throwing a grenade into the bathroom of her home and killing the other seven members of her family. She responds with amazing composure for one who has witnessed the murder of her parents and siblings. She does not mention her mother’s blood spilling all over her. She says she is 12 years old. Is it staged testimony? This can only be discovered in an investigation or trial.

She does not sound to be in shock.

She does sound like she is being coached.

I do find it interesting, and somewhat scary, if and I say IF, the interviewer coached her on what to say for the interviewer….

I am not saying these Marines did not do what they did, but what if this is a setup, and the media is playing with this more than just reporting, but actually creating more of the story than what they should?

I want a full investigation into this, they deserve a trial, and are innocent UNTIL proven guilty in a court of Law….

Don’t you agree Murtha?

I wish someone would ask him THAT question!
