    Greg Gutfield of the Huffington post has come out with a new post on zarqawi and his mom. Satirically hillarious, as usual. I’m still trying to understand why he’s still allowed to post there.

  2. blogagog says:

    Let it go Bang, ST probably accurately said that it was about to get ugly. If someone mentioned COBOL again, I guarantee you it was :)

    Man, I hate COBOL.

  3. jaxcschin says:

    Edited. –ST

  4. Severian says:

    Personally, I find the fact that two people are arguing about the relative merits of COBOL here in 2006 just about as mind boggling as I can handle at this hour of the morning without a 2nd cup of caffeine. Jax’s little puffed up, chest beating “Me Tarzan, you just tape ape” rant does, however, display enough petty silliness to bring a small smile to my face. :d

  5. Bang and jax, I noted in the closed thread that I wanted this discusion to go on sans insults. Why was my request ignored?

    No matter. All I am asking is that you please respect my simple rules here. If it happens again, you’ll both go on moderation for a few days.

  6. benning says:

    Hey! It’s Flag Day! Why isn’t anybody else posting on that? Sheesh!

    COBOL? Is that like Atari? And Pong? Heheheheeee! :d

  7. Severian says:

    Hey, I still have my old Atari 400, complete with white wire and dead roaches mods that took it up to 48k. It still works too, as does the disk drive ($525 for a 5.25 inch floppy drive that barely held 40K on it, the joke was if you could get the drive to spin the jacket it’d format it). :)

  8. Jim M says:

    Benning, I put out 12 US flags in front of my house does that count as a posting?**==

  9. benning says:

    Jim, I salute you! Damn right it does! **==

  10. Nope – I’m gone…

  11. Karl says:

    The flag in front of my house is up all year long. Every day is flag day

  12. Jim M says:

    Karl, I also have a flag 24 7 but on Memorial Day I put one up on the mail box post and several around the flower beds in front of my house. I leave all the flags up because right after Memorial Day is the anniversary of D-Day and then Flag Day I only remove the extra flags after the Fourth of July.

  13. I keep a small flag up here at my desk (the wooden piece holding it up is taped to the side of my file cabinet) but I need to get one for home as well. A new neighbor of mine put his flag out yesterday.

  14. Jim M says:

    Sis T, that is more than most people I fly a small flag on my trucks antenna and on my desk I also have the flag of the United States Air Force (Served Proudly). Some people equate the flag of The United States with the Federal Government but the American Flag represents the people of this country. Because the people make this country great not the Government that’s why I fly the flag.

  15. - Now comes the House calling for a resolution to make the connections between the overall WOT and the Iraqi war as intimately interelated, daring the Dem’s to try to call it otherwise. The Reps are going to throw a bright spotlight on the Dems “cut and run” ideas intentionally. The great “narrative” battles continue.

  16. benning says:

    blogagog: I read that! It’s a crack-up! Then you have to read the comments! You know the Lefties as soon as you get to them. “That’s not funny.” :(

    Heheheee!

  17. benning says:

    Bang: Are these the same Reps who keep surrendering to the Dems for no other reason than that they have the spines of Jelly Sandwiches? They are the ones who are gonna “throw a bright spotlight on the Dems ‘cut and run’ ideas”?

    I’ll believe it when I see it!

  18. - Yes….I must admit I was surprised when I saw that. Maybe Ann (take no Jersey prisoners) Coulter is finaally rubbing off on them…

    - I swear at times it seems like our side acts like “having power means never having to use it”….

    - Bang **==

  19. - I’m not sure, but maybe the whole world is going nutz….hahaha…. Dems and Reps meeting in Congress to plan for Iraq’s future…. then theres this of all things…

    - “Iran has forwarded ovature’s offering to help in the war in Iraq, the statements comming from the Iranian ambassodore: “the nation of Iran is reaching out to America, and hereby offers all and any help we can be, in assisting america in the Iraqi war, in any way shape or form.”

    - Mighty goodness. (with a good deal of cautious optimism)

    - What next?…The Democratic party praising our fighting men and women in the military?……..nawwwww….. lets not get carried away…

    blogagog: I read that! It’s a crack-up! Then you have to read the comments!

    Totally, Benning. The comments contain not an ounce of real commentary. Just “You’re not funny” or “don’t feed the trolls”, or “you smell”, etc from the left. But from the right? You’ll laugh so hard you’ll cry. ’scuse me, I’ve got to get a new box of tissues ;)

  21. - Speaking Truth to Dhimmitude - (or how I learned to stop reacting everytime a Liberal says something)

    - The Israeli/Palestinian struggle is the standard multicultural clash. Whenever two cultures fight over the same piece of land it only gets resolved when one side or the other can no longer fight, or a third
    agent steps in an enforces peace. Both sides claiim “Right”. Both sides have whatever right they can enforce on the other. Its the classic Strong horse/Weak Horse dispute, but the left, by dent of its “victimhood” mind set, see’s everything in trems of class struggle, always going to the defense of the weak horse, in the same way as they see themselves as
    the disadvantaged, put upon “elites”.

    - Isreals only “crime” is in being strong enough to effectively defend itself. That automatically casts them as the “bad guy”, regardless of the facts, or atrocities visited on them. Doesn’t matter to the
    Liberal mind. They’re the strong horse so they have to be wrong. The “progressives” hide their bias behind the so called “anti-Zionist” meme, which is a
    safe way of being anti-simetic, while seeming to “care”.

    - Once any conflict is resolved the Left is no longer interested, because the situation, at that point with stability installed, cannot be mined for class warfare purposes. Never mind that in most instances,
    should the Socialistic gaggle win the struggle, it generally morphs into a dictatorship, led by a small cabal of “elite” whose soul point in life is to suppress the “masses”, the “cause” has been served.

    - The grand Socialist experiment has resulted in 100 million dead over the past 100 years. But that’s just an “inconvieniant” detail. Always, the only important theme is the “cause”. Taking either side in a clash of cultures is a effete, intellectual, circle j***.

    - Bringing about a viable settled peace, repleat with all the attending questions of morality, humanity, soveriegnty, and “rightness”, is the hard work of statesmanship. A decidedly lost art.

    - Editors note: This post has been screened for any signs of actual facts, in order to gaurentee a fair and balanced view point, strip it of any unnecessary harshness, and be sure not to offend the delicate eyes of the “loyal opposition”, whom let it be known, loves and supports our troops, even when they kill babies and work for the great Satan Devil type guy, McHitlerBurtonChimpyBush) – ST’s evil twin sistah

  22. - It now appears those video’s issued from the Palestinian security office, proported to show Isreali gun ships attacking a beach area, with the sounds of ambulances in the back ground, also showing injured and dieing Palestinian holidayers has a small problem. The videos were released to the press on the day of the alledged attacks alright. Unfortunately they were released about 2 hours before the Isreali military operations actually ocurred. (oops)

    - Isreali spokesman say that the deaths were in an area far from any operations they were involved in that day, and speculated the victims died from accidently exploding land mines the Palestine Hamas militia planted along the beach.

    - Yet more lies from the “religion of peace”.

  24. “Mullahs Love FOX”

    I posted earlier about the Iranians offering the US help in dealing with the Iraq war. Aside from the fact that many of the IED’s that have caused the lions share of injuries and death to American troops in that war, these ovatures were made, not to the President, American Ambassodore, or any US government official. They were made to all people, one of the FOX news programming vice presidents. Maybe the Iranian president is putting out stringers to score his own reality series. Good grief.

    - Bang **==

  25. - Left off that “many of the IED’s come from Iran.”

  26. - Bak, you have to be as mean as a starving junk yard dog like me, or you don’t rise to getting edited. You’re far to patient with these noodle heads, to rate edit time…. *chuckle*

    - In another story today, the NY Trash is showing just how hard they’re running this all out Jihad in the Bush administration and Gitmo. Now they’re pleading all sorts of pity, and made up junk journalism for this al Qaeda man that got caught in Afghanistan, fighting in the Taliban. When you see his story and the odiotic things he claims, the NYT’s purpose for backing this guy leaves no doubt. Since the grey old lady is “hiding” its Op-Ed on this story for unknown reasons (after you read the story you’ll have a hint), you can read it here instead.

    - Bang **==

  27. - Oh, and by the way, this “innocent” tourist, who is in fact a French citizen, claims his older brother talked him into going to Afghanistan on what he thought was a vacation, and only after he got there did he realize it was an al Qaeda training camp, and he had no choice. He claims he was “on his way home” when he was picked up. Apparently he forgot the direction to France.

    - All 12 members of his family, including his mother, uncles, brothers and sisters could not be contacted for comment. They’re all either sitting in French prisons, or on trial for terrorist acts.

    - Once again the NYT is caught in journalistic ambush, and outright fabricated news.

  29. Ahhh Steve-oh…. He was such a parody of himself… who could forget….The infamouse “Religious Anarchist”…. *snort*

    - I think his biggest problem was he couldn’t get his bong lit properly sometimes…. Well lets all hope whatever blogsite he’s infesting now, he found some “peace”….. :o

  33. PCD says:

    Anyone notice how desperate the Left is getting to have a “Moral Victory” in Iraq as they got a “Moral Victory” in the California 50th district?

    If Nevada officials had any cajones, they’d have shipped off the entire “Yearly Kos” crowd to the rubber rooms and began treatment of the attendees’ various mental illnesses.

    The Nevada Governor could have applied for a Disaster Declaration from the Federal Gov’t since there was such a crush put on the state of Nevada’s resources to treat mental illness.

  37. - Well we can all sleep safer in our beds tonight…. This morning our fearless ChimpyDude signed off on the “Janet Jackson anti-tit law”…Beltway insiders say that the “Maddona act your age bitch law” is in the works…Who said we Repubs can’t get anything done! /snark off

    - Bang **==

  38. Baklava says:

    In his conversion explanation is this excerpt:
    Democrat Sen. John Murtha, has invoked a cut-and-run policy in Iraq, supported by Democrat Senate Minority leader Harry Reid and Democrat House Minority leader Nancy Pelosi. Do they think the Middle East and the World would be safer if we had cut and run, as Murtha’s plan wanted us to do? Under that plan, our troops would have been out of Iraq by May 18th and al-Zarqawi wouldn’t be dead, but pulling the strings in an Iraqi civil war.
