I remember the “play” as I was watching the Cubs play the Dodgers. I posted about this on the anniversary and a couple of days leading up to the anniversary.

Sister, that was an awesome video; Rick Monday has replaced Cal Jr. as my all-time favorite player. I never knew this happened; I was in basic training–USAF–on April 25, 1976, and wouldn’t have been allowed to watch any television.

I remember Monday’s play from the sports reports of the day. I remember wishing that some player had stepped on those idiots a few times – y’know, a few cleat marks to prove they had been there – but was hoping Lasorda would kick some butt.

Too many twits with nothing to say except, “I hate you and whatever you stand for.” I don’t remember what defense they may have used in court. But they trespassed, and they were attempting to start a fire without a permit. Hope they were fined so heavily they’re still paying!

That is an excellent play if I do say so myself. Why do the ignorant always feel the need to burn the flag. I know, I know, the flag is only for national identification, but since we pledge our alligence to the flag of the United States of America, there is just something special about our flag. It’s representation of our history, it’s ties to our founding fathers, after all it is patterned after Washington’s coat of arms. How each state is represented by a star.
