I had a 5 day weekend and didn’t come back to work until Tuesday. Also I am taking Monday off so I will be having a 4 day weekend this weekend. I have a picnic to go to on Monday, then later that evening will be watching a beautiful fireworks display. Should be fun. – Lorica

Texas Redistricing case decided and commented on by Betsy

Betsy also comments on a John Stossel piece about STUPID complaints with the EEOC about Hooters and Sears My question is – What kind of man would want to be wearing those short shorts and serving ogling men customers anyway. :) Oh. That kind? :o

OK. Sorry so many links from one page but Betsy has a post about the importance of the NY Times LEAK. Impressive.

  5. - Breaking – Isreali troops have rounded up at least 16 of the Top Hamas leaders, including Palestinian government cabinent ministers. They are still looking for the kidnapped Isreali soldier, and it is not clear what impact, if any, the news of the murdered 18 year old Isreali civilian who was also kidnapped will have on the Gaza campaign. Additional deployments are under way in Northern Gaza and the West bank, as the Isreali army continues to look for Hamas leaders that have reportedly gone into hiding….. Developing

This guy nails it. Too much common sense in one article. And now. DO I HAVE permission to whack th enext guy that claims he knew someone with a hundred mile carberatur but the dealer/manufacturer recalled it quickly because they are in cahoots with the oil comopanies. Seriosuly. folks. You can’t get a normal car to get 100 miles to the fallon on the most LEAN air fuel mixture burnable and still accelerate. I must’ve run into about 6 of these guys in my life and you can’t talk common sense into them more than you can a liberal. Maybe they are liberals.

Geez. Looks like my kids typed that one. Sorry.

  8. G-Monster says:

I think Al Gore lost all his credibility a long time ago when he was telling everyone he invented the internet.

  9. G-Monster says:

I mean, who really could take this man serious. Especially after seeing him sporting a beard.

  10. G-Monster says:

Or when he licked Tipper’s face?

  11. G-Monster says:

Al Gore is a complete joke. And I’m not trying to be mean, as I think Al Gore actually has a likable side. One of the funniest things about Al Gore, was before and after the 2000 presidential election.

Al wanted to make sure everyone understood that the electoral vote, not the popular vote, was how we elect our president. He was positive he would get the electoral and not the popular, and just wanted to remind everyone how the system worked.

After the election went the opposite way, I remember hearing statement after statement from him, stating how he had won the popular vote. Trying to use it as an argument over why he should be president.
