The result was clear – the towers fell because of the two airliners piloted by terrorists hitting the tower and not some “conspiracy”. I was surprised to learn that the collapse mechanism was different for each tower. The fact that the design critera used when the WTC was designed and built may not have been sufficient hardly seems the stuff upon which to base a conspiracy theory.

- The steel I-Beams did not have sufficient fire insulation to withstand the high temperatures of burning jet fuel, softened, and that in turn led to the collapse. It was covered in great detail, there is not a shred of “mystery”. But since it was not something that can be “blamed” on anyone, the morons in the fevor swamps of the left are forced to come up with idiotic conspiracy theories, and of course it just has to be Bush at the bottom of it, just like he controls hurricanes, and close enecounters with Asteroids. A lot of the crazies in thw Liberal camp are simply lunitics.

After Reagan won the 1980 presidential election there was a wacko conspiracy theory floating around that then Vice-Presidential candidate George H.W. Bush secretly negotiated with Iranian militants to delay the release of the hostages held in Iran until after the election. Eventually a Democratic Congress decided to “investigate” these claims in an effort simply to embarrass Republicans – all at taxpayer expense.

If Democrats take over Congress in 2006, I predict that there will be an effort to impeach the current President Bush. This claim about the WTC will be thrown in to create an aura of malfeasance necessary to gloss over the fact that no grounds for impeachment exist. Democrats normally try to make up for in bluster what they lack in facts.

Now there is a place for simple experiments, for a real example of how to do one see Richard Feynman’s experiment with the o-ring material in the Challenger hearings, but obviously this man is no Richard Feynman. You actually have to know something about science or engineering to do a good simple experiment with results that actually mean something.
