First revelations of Moulitsas taking PAK money in return for backing, and writing about, select candidates, and the SEC irregularities concerning his partner and second in command. In response too those alligations, and some are sure done intentionally in an effort to "starve" the Payola disclosures of oxygen (his own words in secret emails to other associates connected with Daily Kos), he has stirred the base with statements of "breaking away from the party if they won't accept our input". It's obvious that he has a small time ego complex, but worse he thinks he commands much more of a presense with the DNC and party leadership than he really does. After Lieberman his next target is Hillery, whom he already demeans almost daily at the site. His complaints of being ignored ratcheted up visibly, right after the rather dismal showing at the "Yearly Kos" convention, where barely 1000 people attended, and over 100 of that number were actually reporters/TV personel. He's probably counting on the DNC to want to avoid internal catfights with the upcoming elections so close. Of course if he's really just in it for the money then it's even less important.
