ST: Hi Cosmic - the only advice I can offer you is to blog as much as you can in the evenings to make up for it. Check Memeorandum to see what's hot that interests you and blog using the links to those stories. Patterico, I think, blogs mostly in the evenings and is a very sucessful blogger. Don't let not being able to blog during the day keep you from striving to be a successful blogger.

Not really. I don’t comment much but it’s not because I’m “comment shy”. I just hate when I forget where I left a comment so I can’t go back and see if there’s any response. I’m trying to comment more though and if I can’t remember where I commented… oh well.

I’ve been blogging for a couple of years now and don’t think too many people ever read my blog. No biggie. I do it as a creative outlet and don’t worry about the number of readers. It would be nice to get more legitimate comments instead of the spam (I have my system toggled to “aprove before it appears” for comments to keep the spam from appearing) but I still have fun with my blog. Maybe someone reading my comment here might saunter over and check out my humble blog.

There are so many blogs! I have a few I visit daily (Hiya, ST! ), some I get to at least weekly, then others I visit once in a while. I try to comment wherever I visit. Nice to let folks know you were there, y’know?

These are excellent tips. As a relatively new blogger I’ve wondered too about how to generate traffic, and I intend to pursue your tips on trackbacking starting tonight. Also, Melanie Morgan is withstanding an attack by Liberal MSM because she dared say if Bill Keller of the NYTimes was tried and convicted of Treason for authorizing publication of National Secrets on the WOT, that she’d not mind if he got the maximum, death. The lefties are all indignant and are in full slander mode.

The Radio Equalizer has the full story. It is on par with Protein Wisdom having criticized that teacher, Frisch and receiving Denial of Service attacks from the moonbats ever since.

For me, commenting has always been about whether I can contribute a thought that’s both relevant and new — something germane to the discussion that no one else has said. If I can, I will. If I can’t, I pass on.

I make the rounds to a lot of blogs throughout the day. I’m the first to admit, I’m bad about not commenting. I can honestly say that the total number of comments I’ve left on blogs couldn’t possibly be more than ten or twenty. I need to get more involved.
