Have any of you seen the new t-shirts with such encouraging slogans like this one, "I ordered tuna with cheese when I went to a war zone and all I got was this lousy plane ride and a damn chicken sammich". Truth is it may be the only way some of them "escaped" free of charge. They should be happy instead of bitching. War saved them in escense. Besides, anyone that travels abroad very much knows, or should know, that a lot of international airports are privately owned in some countries, and said owners are free to slap a "tax" on you any time they feel like it, generally just before you're ready to board your flight. Had it happen in Seoul Korea once on a trip. $300 bucks per head for three of us. Nothing you can do if you want to get out on time. Tourists run into this sort of thing all the time. Up too whatever they thing you can pay.
