I’m going in to have surgery at 5 a.m. tomarrow.
I’m having an Anterior Cervical Discectomy and Fusion. My pain is in the back of my left shoulder and my L arm is numb and tingles down to my hand.
I also have bilateral carpal tunnell but have to have this done pronto.
Has anybody out there had this surg? I’m kinda nervous but I’ll do O.K, the worst thing is I won’t be able to blog for awhile.

Researchers: Hurricane Season Won’t Be as Bad as Predicted
Pardon me for pointing this out, but are we not supposed to all be dead by now from several hundred category 5 hurricanes spawned by global warming and Halliburton executives? These Karl Rove-planned hurricanes, according to Dr. Rt. Rev. Algore, were supposed to have hit us five minutes after the start of this year’s hurricane season.
But don’t worry all you doom-lovers! If Democrats take over Congress this November we will all face a set of windbags capable of causing more death and destruction than any silly ‘ol hurricane.

I was thinking about the Democrats push for increasing the minimum wage, and it’s cagey and backhanded, as most things they do are. Witness:
1. It makes them appear like they are all for helping the little guy, and also fits right in with their anti-capitalist, Marxist “government should tell business what to do” mindset.
2. Since many union contracts are setup so that union pay is tied to the minimum wage plus some amount, it’s a backdoor way to use government and other businesses to provide a quid pro quo (or payback for those of you educated after classical educations went out of style) to their union buddies for their support.
3. Since it inevitably costs jobs and increases unemployment, it serves their goal of increasing the number of people who rely on the government for survival, thru welfare, unemployment, food stamps, and who will reliably vote Democratic in order to keep the largess coming.
4. It allows them to cast Republicans as meanies who only care about the rich, as most of the poor and lower classes have no idea how the economy actually works. It also allows them to blame the resulting economic collapse that follows on the evil Republicans, particularly at a time when the presidency and both houses are Republican dominated.
Gee, a real no-lose proposition for the Dems.
I will try to be as sensitive as possible with the failure of the Senate bill to raise the minimum wage. If you are a grown adult (barring mental or physical problems) on minimum wage you are a loser a complete loser. How in the world can a minimum wage loser who can’t afford to feed himself expect to feed kids? Oh I forgot they didn’t win life’s lottery (as per Dick Gephardt) it wasn’t that they have and continue to make stupid decisions that keep them right where they are in life. If you are a worthless loser that can’t feed yourself don’t worry the Imperial Federal Government will confiscate it from other hard working responsible Americans and give it to you. I am so tired of these whinny bed wetting liberals making excuses for these worthless leaches on the taxpayers. Minimum wage jobs are for kids to make some money and learn work ethics not for a family of four to live off of.
