Who conducted the poll, and how many were polled? I’m always leery of those things …

It was an inside job. An inside job to the folks that actually planned it and carried it out. But not an inside job for people who didn’t carry it out (such as the Bush administration). And for anyone to be so hate filled that they actually think people in government knew that it was going to happen but let it happen they need mental help. That is beyond cynicism or thinking the government was a little lazy.

Yes the government employees are a little lazy (some are hard hard hard workers). But I work in CA state government and see many examples of laziness. But to think they would knowingly let someone kill up to 50,000 people in some buildings with planes as missiles only shows that the 1/3rd of americans who CALL for bigger government (the lefties) everyday are really psycho.

Looks to me like they actually got the left wing moonbats represented in the poll. We all know that somewhere around a third of the country would vote for a democrat even if s/he had horns and red cape. It is those people who are willing to believe ANYTHING bad about the current administration, including idiotic conspiracy theories. They hate Bush so much that they sell this country to Castro if that’s what it took to get Bush out of the White House. Their hatred is really that irraitonal.

36% of 1,010 people. 363.6 People. This number already sounds fishy to me. How do you get a .3 person? Also, where did they find these people.

The survey was conducted by telephone from July 6-24 at the Scripps Survey Research Center at the University of Ohio. The survey people get hung up on quicker than the guy trying to sell the L.A. Times at my house.

Also, if you disagree with the survey questions, you are much more likely to discontinue the conversation before the end of the survey.

I think you the big surprise here is that they didn’t get 100% of the people to give them the answers they were looking for.

You can take this survey and shove it!!!

The poll is obviously loaded. According to that poll, one could ask any three people at random and one of them would hold that belief. I do not know anybody in my circle of acquaintences that believes that nonsense.
I would like to see the actual question and the internals of the poll.

I am a man of logic, and I believe what I see and hear, and when I see and hear fire fighters who were inside the building explain to the medai that there were actually explosions going off INSIDE thats all the proof I need to believe that 757’s didnt take those building down.

Now someone is going to come onto the board and say, OMG your a crazy phyco person, yea well go tell that to the fire fighter who was there inside the building.

Besides nobody really knows what went down in the first place, we as a people only know what the media has shown us; and its shown us both sides of the tale.

Yeah, I’m sure firefighters are intimately aware of the difference in sound between a controlled explosion and the sound of supports breaking, gas lings blowing, etc You believe because you want to believe, and are looking for any out of context inanity to latch onto. You know, I’ve often wondered at the mind set and mental health of the conspracy nuts. It seems that to their twisted, weak minds, believing anything is preferable to actually facing the fact that there are violent, brutal barbarians out there who want to kill all of us just for who we are and what we believe. I think for many of them facing reality is just too stressful, so they make up this fantasy that it’s the government, and if they could just get that evil Bush/Cheney out of office, they could go back to sleep and forget all about the nasty evil sinister world.

It doesn’t work that way, as I’ve said before, Islamic Fascism is not the Bugblatter Beast of Trall, it’s not going to go away just because you are too weak to fight it. It’ll just get stronger and stronger until it can come into your own backyard and kill you or enslave you.

I think the root cause of both the anti-war nuts (we can negeotiate!) and the conspiracy nuts (it wasn’t Islamic terrorists, it was Bush!) is weakness. They are unwilling or incapable of facing the cold, meat hook realities of this world of ours, and are willing to go to any delusional lengths to not have to face reality. And they have the gall to call themselves the “reality” community.

I tend to agree, those explosions were most likely the support beams that were still working giving way to the incredibile force of the upper floors. It is sad to believe that someone could only believe the most convienient explaination to the proclivity of their thinking. I don’t know you Wally, but it would seem to me that you want to think the worse of our Government, and therefore believe such foolishness.
