The actions of the netroots left takes the politics of personal destruction to an extreme. No longer is vitrol and viciousness confined to the candidates or the opposing party’s policies, it is now being leveled as the supporters of a candidate

And, for the record, while the left still just loves to rant about ol’Joe McCarthy, they are ignoring the fact that he was right. After the Soviet Union fell, and several decades of KGB files were opened, it was shown that Joe was correct and right on the money, the US was lousy with Communists and their fellow travelers, and the Soviet Union and KGB were sponsoring a lot of them and using all of them. It’s the same idiotic blindness and deliberate lies that they foist on us about Joe “tea drinking” Wilson. “He’s a whistleblower that Bush tried to get even with” they whine and shriek, when the FACTS are that Wilson is a partisan political hack that lied thru his teeth again and again in a deliberate, calculated attempt to damage this administration and the war effort. Everything he said is a lie, so he’s not a “whistleblower” he’s a lying political operative, just like the people McCarthy was after were indeed communists working against the interests of the US.

The left sure has poor choices in heroes.

Surprise? No.

It is just gotten worse and worse, until it is ’suddenly’ noticed as if this is a new phenomenon.

It isn’t.

Not only does this piece point out the left’s action and how it acts, but continues to smear the right.

Personally it was probably more on smearing the right.

This kind of scary hatred, my dad used to tell me, comes only from the right wing–in his day from people such as the late Sen. Joseph McCarthy, with his tirades against “communists and their fellow travelers.”

Need to reach back to McCarthy to associate all the right with?

To suddenly think this is a strange occurrence when it has been rampant for quite some time now is quite disingenuous of him.

And what about Olberman, farakkan, jesse jackson, al sharpton, al frankin, ect, ect.

Now, in the closing days of the Lieberman primary campaign, I have reluctantly concluded that I was wrong.

It took all these years till the end of the Lieberman campaign to finally notice this?

Is he BLIND and DEAF?
Where has he been?

Moreover, the support he gets from these haters should not be attributed to Mr. Lamont–nor should he be blamed for their extremism, bigotry and intolerance. But he ought to denounce them. He hasn’t as yet.

But why should we buy it? It was William Jefferson Clinton and his trolls like Lanny Davis who fanned as much partisan hate as they possibly could during Clinton’s reign. As George Will pointed out once, while WJC was probably not the worst President the country ever had (for that honor it will be hard to displace the peanut farmer from Plains), he was certainly the worst person ever to be President. Steve (are you reading this?) – you were right! When Lamont got his feeble 1/3 of the vote during the CT state convention earlier this year I wrongly dismissed him. I underestimated the Democrats’ love affair with rich dolts (see Kennedy, Kerry, Corzine, Rocky-feller, Edwards, etc.).
