Would you rather I just post the words of the poll that say that 60% of Americans dislike the President’s handling of the war in Iraq and are unhappy with the fact that we entered into it? Whether it will be split enough to toss the race to the GOPer remains to be seen. As I understand it, the Republican in the race isn’t exactly a fit for the state..so its hard to say for sure. The more fitting phrasology is that if the GOP loses that seat..they’re in bigger trouble than even I thought. If they can’t win when the vote is split…they really do suck.

No, even with the 40 percent, the vote is not a “50/50 split”. There was a 40% turnout for the primary. That means that 40% of registered Dems showed up to vote. That’s huge for a primary. But it doesn’t mean that there’s a 50/50 split for the general. Not even close.

Its possible that the Dems did lose that seat. Or its possible that they just found a way to get a progressive into it. Given how lousy the right is looking and how godawful they’re polling…its very possible.

As I blogged earlier, the whole thing against Lieberman started when he said Iraq had positive elements.

Since that violates the DNC’s official quagmire/cut and run policy, he became the victim of friendly fire.
