They haven’t stopped spending on Obama. In Illinois, the Dems here love this guy. I think he’s still their hope for the future.

That’s funny. Obama’s voting record and rhetoric is much farter to the right of Lieberman. Hell, Obama is pro-gun.

Personally, though sad to see the Democrats taking their turn at shoving the political knife into Liebermans back, in a way, I’m glad it’s happening. Here’s my prediction:

Joe now runs as an Independant. Joe wins as an Independant. Joe acts as a strong Independant when in office, abandoning any previous Democrat obligations and gives the Dems that coddle up to him when he returns, the middle finger in reply to their mealy-mouthed apologies for ‘just supporting the Party line’.

I’ve always respected Joe Lieberman, except when he ran with Gore and abandoned nearly all of his core beliefs to be on the ticket. It was sad to see him do that, but after the ‘personal’ sacrifice that he did then for the Democrat Party, it’s even sadder to see them dumping him overboard the way they are now. In the end, this will make him a stronger, better statesman, and one that will be far more approachable by the Republicans.

If Osama Obama(thanks Ted) is the hope of the Dem future they think the people are stupider they they are themselves. Osama Obama is nothing more than a clone who can speak the Dem talking points well. He he all polish and no flash. If the Republican party in Illinois could get is act together, there would be a good possibility of replacing at least 1 of the Senators of this state. Especially Turbin Durbin’s seat, talk about vulnerable. Yet another non-thinking, Dem talking point mouth piece.

Didn’t Stalin say something about the “will of the voters”?? Ohhh no wait that was BJ Clinton. These guys are really starting to scare me with how deluded they are. This “party above all else” really does have it’s Nazi/Communist roots. It is funny to the point of scary. I pray that Lieberman shurgs this off, and runs. After all what would be best for the people of Connecticut??? Keeping a long term, knowledgable, intelligent Senator, or voting someone new who knows nothing about A) champaigning (why do you have to say anything Ned??) B) How things work inside the beltway C) someone who thinks he has allies in the Dem party D) someone who I have yet to hear him say anything about what is best for the people of Conn, everything is the war for him. I always love it when Dems shout about “the will of the voters” and “we support the troops!” Guess that explains their consistent and repeated efforts, usually successful, to throw out military absentee ballots on the flimsiest of technicalities, while whining about people with no ID, no registration, and having the slight handicap of being either a felon or dead being viciously denied the right to vote.

“The will of the voters,” eh? That would be the will of the voters who participated in the Democratic primary, right? Well, they’re going to get exactly and only what they asked for: Ned Lamont as the Democratic nominee for United States Senator.

Come November, “the will of the voters” will be expressed once again…except that this time, it will be all of Connecticut’s voters, rather than just the fraction entitled to participate in the Democratic primary. And Bill Richardson, who normally restrains his less laudable tendencies better than this, will just have to choke it down as best he can.

Democrats dismayed by the prospect of democracy. It is to laugh.

This was to be expected. Lamont represents the aims of those who control the Democratic party’s money — ie, George Soros and MoveOn.org — far more than Lieberman ever did. Democrats have to toe the line if they want to keep their positions.
