I’m late to this party, but Rangel and Conyers aren’t the scariest new committee chairmen — Alcee Hastings on Intelligence is the really scary one. Why not just appoint bin Laden himself??

That remind me of a Jewish Joke I read, NC.

Abe is sitting on a bench in Green Park reading an anti-Semitic newsheet. Solomon, his best friend walks by, sees the paper, and stops — in shock.

“What are you doing reading that paper?” he says. “You should be reading the Jewish Chronicle!”

Abe replies, “The Jewish Chronicle has stories about inter-marriage, anti-Semitism, problems in Israel—all kinds troubles of the Jewish people. I like to read about good news. This anti-semitic paper says the Jews have all the money…the Jews control the banks…the Jews control the press… the Jews control Hollywood.

Better to read nothing but good news!”

Betcha the newsheet he was reading was the New York Times….lol

I know what you mean sanity, I have often thought the same thing. For some reason the democrats want you to believe that under Clinton the world was a rosy place. Everyone had a job, a home, and peace reigned throughout the world, children never went hungry and all recieved an education, minimum wage was more than enough to live off of and there was no terrorism.

Then they want you to believe that it will be the same way the second a democrat steps into the oval office.

I have half a mind to want a democrat in the office of president just to shut up the MSM (cause you know suddenly the media will be in love with whatever the US and the president is doing then – but they aren’t biased or anything *rolls eyes*) and see how suddenly everything is going so well for America and everyone loves us…

But if I voted for a democrat for president, then I would only have half a mind…if that.

If the House impeached President Bush, it’ll be the same result as in 1999, when President Clinton was impeached: they can force the trial, but they don’t have the votes to remove him from office.

Even if every Senate race this year was won by the Democratic candidate, there would be only sixty Democrats in the Senate, and it requires 67 votes to convict in an impeachment trial.

If the Democrats manage to push through their agenda and impeach Bush and Cheney, guess who becomes President for the remainder of Bush’s term?

A simple majority in the House to impeach, but 66% of the Senate must go along to remove.
