Laura Ingraham replayed an interview (or I was experiencing Deja Vu) with a young lady who started up a group called N.E.W. (I like how it's almost like N.O.W., but isn't even close)or Network for Enlightened Women. It's a conservative group that has chapters now in other universities than the one she was at when she started it. Sorry, I can't recall her name or university. But she spoke of the roadblocks she encountered in trying to start this group.

Universities are dangerous places for our young to spend so much time.

Check the archives for some very juicy columns! Well worth the reading!

[...] Blog Watch By Snoop Sister Toldjah had this interesting piece A reminder for college-bound conservatives. anti-conservatism run amuck on college campuses.  To those who are attending college this fall for the first time, or will be returning: not all universities are conservative-friendly. Bart Adams files this timely roundup of anti-conservative incidents at colleges across the country in recent years: • At California Polytechnic State University, student Steven Hinkle tried to post a flier in a public area of the campus Multicultural Center. The flier advertised a speech by a black conservative who authored a book titled "It's OK to Leave the Plantation" who argues that African-Americans are too dependent on government programs. A number of students who informally gathered in the center tried to prevent him from putting it up, and threatened to call the campus police when Mr. Hinkle offered to discuss the issue. After he departed, the students called the police and filed a complaint against him. The Cal Poly Judicial Office took up the case and found Mr. Hinkle guilty of "disrupting a campus event" and he was required to write letters of apology to the students he offended.
Liberals are far from open minded and tolerant. One state worker where I work here in CA just today said, "Bush has got how long in office? That means he must have at least another war in him". To liberals there is no opposing point of view. It is only their view. Reasoning with them is not really an option.

Yes. I'm generalizing as I used to be a liberal pre 1991. It took me hearing an alternative viewpoint on talk radio and then going to the library 3 times a week that year to figure out what set of "facts" were true on a whole host of issues.

I have knows that liberals have had thier own set of untrue facts for a long time now. Many with the blogging age are finding out just how often. On almost every story (Katrina, Qana, NSA terrorist surveillance program, etc.). If you believe a set of facts that are untrue your opinion is TAINTED.
