That is disappointing, but not surprising. These same people would likely say, when a conservative attempts to speak on an issue, that the conservative is guilty of an ad hominem attack.

It always amazes me how quickly people will use a trajedy for comedy. The shuttle disaster comes to mind with a flood of jokes that came within what seemed like hours. I’m ashamed that I find some of them funny (a good joke is based on negative stuff–but I don’t mean I find them in the sense of having looked for them, only that I’ve stumbled upon them, or they showed up in an unsolicited email). But it’s pretty sick that there are those that can’t resist crossing that line of decency. I mean, jeez, give it a decade or two at least.
