Hamtramck has a big thing going on because the mosques there wanted to broadcast the call to prayer in arabic I think 5 6 times a day…as early a 6:30am and going to early evening.

People said that with their windows CLOSED they were getting woke up.

Their rational was that catholic churches have bells that chime out and that is similiar to the call to prayer….

I do believe they won.

- Ghanem works as a busboy and lives in Hamtramck with family members, but he had a one-way ticket to Yemen, authorities said.

The notorious Abu Ghraib prison in Baghdad is at the centre of fresh abuse allegations just a week after it was handed over to Iraqi authorities, with claims that inmates are being tortured by their new captors.

Hmmm it’s Iraqi’s who are in control of the prison now after Americans turned over the reigns to the Iraqi Government.

So….What do they think of Americans now?

“The Americans were better than the Iraqis. They treated us better,” said Khalid Alaani, who was held on suspicion of involvement in Sunni terrorism.

The witness said that even in the thieves’ section prisoners were being treated badly. “Someone was shouting ‘Please help us, we want the human rights officers, we want the Americans to come back’,” he said.

“We preferred the Americans. We asked to move with them to Baghdad airport because we knew the treatment would be changed because we know what the Iraqis are. When the Americans left everything changed.”

I am sorry if I do not seem horrified, and that may sound bad, but I am so SICK of Americans being blamed for everything, that Abu Graib was a mass torture center the way the media portraited it.

I guess they are learning what real torture are, especially the terrorists in Iraqi hands right now.

We tie our hands, where as other countries are not so tied as America seems to be.

It is out of America’s hands now, it has been handed over to the Iraqis and we can’t just step back in.

I’m sorry if I find a weird sense of irony that they cry for the Americans to come back and be their jailers….

Under the topic, “What liberal Bias”, for those liberals who deny the drive by media has a liberal bias comes this study

A couple points come from working/learning to work together. Cooperation in a single mission with an end result being the same city/village wide.

Following the work a short tea/coffee/snack time and folks get to know about each other. I try to be the fly on the wall but being the only foreigner in my area, as well as my size, make that impossible. Nevertheless, it’s cool to see people who’s deep respect for others privacy and property, which actually prevents them from getting to know one another better, making inroads. I seem to be the common path for some of them as they talk about me, though I were deaf, not knowing that I can understand. My silence is often mistaken for something else.

That’s actually my point for this comment. How does the silence of the true Americans work for and/or against the efforts of those American friendly and her allies, in our need to come up hard against the encroachment of evils? All walks of life and various faiths need to stand shoulder to shoulder or drop one by one.

So many people, with dreams, hopes, problems, loves and hates, and limitless futures, were cut down without warning, slaughtered without mercy, for no other reason than an unreasoning hatred of a Nation, and a People, who believe in Freedom.
